Question about Wurlitzer Jukebox 1015 One More Time 100-Disc CD Changer

1 Answer

Our carrier light gate is not working in our Wurlitzer 1015.

The carrier light gate does not come on. Our carrier will only turn the C.D.'s, but will not play unless placed on Service. How easy is it to replace the light and where can one be purchased?

The light is actually a small lamp like you would find in a torch but is a bayonet fitting and tricky to get to. The actual method is to put a piece of rubber tubing on the end of a pencil and push it onto the bulb end of the lamp so that you can then "press and turn" and pull it out. The new one is put in in reverse.
The other method is to remove the front shield holding the sensors. This can be done but you need to prop up the front of the mechanism to get to the screws.
The lamps are not that easy to find but they are not unusual. I think they are actually auto type lamps. In the USA try in the UK try The Jukebox Man in Lincoln.

My wurlitzer 1015 cd jukebok carosel continually

There's a little light like a torch bulb light called the "light gate lamp" which you should be able to see shining at 6 oclock on the edge of the record carousel. It is on the lip where the serated toothed edge of the carousel passes through a small upright bracket. If you can't see it shining then that's your problem. Have a look in the original documentation and it shows a diagram how to change it.

Wurtlizer k99 turntable spins continously (with the cds) and wont go into test or play mode

If the "turntable" you're referring to is the carrier where the CDs are stored, most likely your light gate lamp is burned out. Look underneath the carrier full of CDs at the front and you should see a faint glow. If you don't, and the K & Z LEDs on the Selection and Credit Computer are constantly lit, you'll need to replace the light gate bulb. I have these bulbs and can help further over the phone. Please don't dis-assemble anything without talking to me, or you may get the light gate assembly out of adjustment. Please email

Is your 3 digit display on? If not, does the Z LED Flash when rotating the record carrier? If so, you may need to have your computer repaired. If the Z LED doesn't flash, check the 12 volt fuse in the amplifier. If you need your computer repaired or further assistance, please email me, Rod Stebelton,

Cd holder spins round doesnt select cd

I can help with this problem, but I need more information. Does it just constantly rotate? Are the lights marked K and Z constantly lit on the Selection & Credit Computer? If so, it may be as simple as a burnt-out light gate bulb....I have these in stock and would be happy to help you troubleshoot further. Please email Rod Stebelton,

Carrier turns constantly

If you look at the SCC (selection and credit computer) on the right hand side (it's a white box). It has two LEDS (red lights). marked K and M. One flashes every cD position. One flashes every full revolution. If they aren't flashing then your light in the light gate is probably duff.

The light is in the little black box at 6 oclock on the CD carousel as you look at it fromt the front..It's obvious if it is on.
