Question about Audio Players & Recorders
This is a simple potentiometer for volume control.
Very easy to fail - and very difficult to repair.
The simplest thing to do is disassemble and try to clean the pot. with electrical contact cleaner... replacing the pot. with a new one is almost impossible - as they do not offer replacement parts.
Try radio shack for a similar one - but it will not be OEM, and may need to be rewired externally.
THIS IS A LARGE SELECTION (click)
To get the proper one - disassemble and obtain the part number off the pot.
You can also remove the pot. - and jumper the wires so the speakers play at high volume at all times - and control the volume with the PC. (just an idea)
Please accept this answer to remove it from the work queue.
