Question about Samsung Washing Machines
A washing cycle has just finished and I tried to open the door of the Samsung washing machine. However, I was unable to and light on the display screen indicates that the lock in activated. I ran it through a drain cycle and tried again but faced the same problem.
1) If you can get a small thin metal object in there and jiggle it around, you may get it open. If not, sheet metal panels will have to be removed to get to there. Do not smash the glass!!!
2) These door locks usually work with solenoids (Sp) if you unplug the machine (AND LEAVE IT UNPLUGGED). The door lock should release in no more than 10 minutes. there is also an emergency released built in somewhere, not being familiar with this model i will guess if you remove the front panel there might be a string you can pull to release it.
I think this solution will definitely help you...if yes then rate for my solution. Thank you for using fixya.
