First thing to do is to turn power off to unit and wait at least 2 minutes. This will reset control and my be fix issue. I suspect it will not and when water boiled over, it shorted out the control. You could have some wires with moisture and when moisture dries out, the unit will operate. After resetting and a few days have past, if still no display, then more than likly the control is bad. The control is #3. Good Luck
Testimonial: "Thank you for the response. We finally got it fixed last week after over a month. First I took the control board to be rebuilt by a circuit control board repair shop. That did not work so I took it back. It still did not work after they played with it. Then I found online where some have fixed a broken solder joint so I took it back again to resolder the ribbon connections between the two boards on the control module. It still did not work. Finally I found a company that specializes in "Timers". They referred me to a repair technician who brought another rebuilt board with him. It still did not work. Then he returned with a second rebuilt board. But that did not work. As a last resort he returned and dismantled the stove top to get at the transformer that powers the timer portion of this control board and replaced it with a new one from Whirlpool. It worked!!! All along it was the transformer that is situated in a awkward location to get at. Thanks again for trying!"

The best way to clean the inner glass is to remove the door from the oven. With the door in the broil open position (first stop) pull up for about 2 inches until the hinge brackets are released from their stops. Close the door all you can and lift the door off the hinges. Lay the door on a padded surface and remove the 4 screws on the bottom. The outside glass will now slide out of its rail and you can clean the inside. To install just reverse the process. If you take your time and observe, it's not that bad of a job...Catriver..post back.

Atlanta...sounds like you may have a power supply problem or the panel is bad. Cut the power, open the unit up and see if there is a fuse in there or a reset. No good? Then replace the circuit board. They just, well, die sometime. Happened to my microwave. Some units may be available remanufactured. Look around on the web.

SOURCE: water spilled down the stove top causing the oven
ater spilled (4-5 cups) on the stove top running down into the stove control panel face (where you view oven temp, timer, etc). No water ever dripped into the oven or oven window. The stove top still works but the oven, warming drawer, clock are all non responsive after three days. No buttons on the control panel work at all. What repair is needed?
