Same problem here. The light just gives a brief flash when I unplug it or plug it in. Have had it for about 5 months. My wife is going crazy without them.

  • Anonymous Jan 20, 2009

I had the same problem. Plug in the transmitter and light would flsh for a second. I opened the transmitter up and found the solder broke loose from the circuit board. I resoldered it and it works fine.

  • johnpost Mar 16, 2009

I am having the same problem. I have had the unit for less than 1 year

  • DTLJ May 23, 2009

Summer is here and I open my RCA WSP 155's for the deck. I must of thrown the transmitter out last year. I do remember having the same problem as described by all. Power light on transmitter LED flash and then nothing. I read someone had a broken wire and simply re-soldered it. I wish I had kept the transmitter to open it and see if I could repair it if indeed I have that same problem.

You can 'pump up' the circuit on the transmitter by pumping the power connector in and out of of the back of the tranmitter to the beat of Beethoven's 5th: da duh duh duh, da duh duh duh, da Duh Duh.

It is a little awkward the first few times you try. You have to get the power connector in far enough each pump that the unit gets a pulse of power. It has to be pumped at the right pace, not too fast, not too slow, the beat of Beethoven's 5th is pretty quick and just right.

I have been powering our WSP155 transmitter unit on at work this way for several months. We originally had 4 sets of these, only using 1 transmitter at a time. 1 transmitter, 8 speakers. Over the course of a year or two, all of the tranmitters went bad the same way and now that I discovered how, I can make them all power on using this method, so I am pretty sure yours will power on this way too.

Also, interestingly, the underside of the unit says it accepts 12 volts, but when I put a volt meter on the original power supply, I find the original power supply is providing 21 volts. I have 4 units and all 4 original power supplies are providing 21 volts.

Same problem - diode flashes once briefly when I plug the unit it and then nothing. Only had it about 18 month and neither the dealer (Best Buy) nor the distributor has been of any help.

Swap out the ram one at a time testing to see if you can power up, making sure there is one in the memory slot at all times, if this works the piece in your hand is defective, no difference! the motherboard has major issues.

The washer is only 1.5 years old and has been working fine until a recent power outage. After the poer was restored, the spin cycle quit working. Any suggestions?

Reset the motor is what you must do.

To Reset the Inverter Board: Push the timer knob in so the washer is idle. Unplug the machine for one minute. Plug back in and raise and lower the lid six times within 12 seconds.

After resetting the inverter board, put the machine in a spin cycle and see if it runs. If not, check for a green blinking light on the inverter board. It will flash failure codes according to the picture above. If no light you probably have a blown fuse built into the neutral side of the harness on the white/red wire.

My computer was working fine, but I lost my charger. I bought a universal charger and used it for some time. One day I plugged the computer in and the light on universal charger lit up until I plugged it...

I think that your battery is soooo flat it may be no good, take battery out, THEN connect the Correct adapter, and see if that works, if it does, then ya do need a new Batt, or perhaps a good long10-12 hour charge first, with NO use at all during that period.

Power light briefly flashes on when plugging in, and then nothing

When mine did this, I just switched the polarity on my universal plug from positive to negative. You have to have a negative flow going in to the transmitter. It will work! Let us know...

LiquidVideo L17LCD2 17 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor - Power Issues

firstly stop turning it off and on because you will blow something else like a power board then it will be a big paper weight.
next get a torch and when it is powered on and supposed to be showing images, shine the torch at the screen.
if you can see everything then you have a broken backlight or problem with your backlight and connections.
they cost approx £15 and a little labour, its not a big job. you may be able to do it yourself if you can get hold of a service manual.
