Question about Philips 32PFL6704D 32 in. LCD TV

Open Question

I have been given a very large extremely heavy glass topped Philips t.v. Due to the mass effort in getting the t.v in my house it seems all the effort was for nothing as when I turn the t.v on the screen is blue, indicates that the channel is BBC1 (with no picture obviously as it hasn't been tuned in) then after about 10-30 seconds later it the screen goes red then turns itself off with the standy by light on the front flashing?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The TV is in some kind of protection mode, the blinking LED show you an error code.
Try pressing 062596 and then press menu button (do these in quick motion, don't let them to time out while keying)...see what happens
Well I think that if you would have a service manual for this set that would help a lot, I can send it to anyone who wants it via email/gmail. Let me know if anyone want one.

I also heard that this problem appeared with some people because the of the burnt fuse in the TV. To fix that it has to be taken to the tech shop. mecry.gif

And yes I also heard about this issue many times, seems like this TV set is very popular with this kind of problem.

The LED blinking 7 times is a code to tell the service tech what is wrong with the TV. From what I've read at other sites it sounds like there;s a good posibility that it is a power supply gone bad.

You probably should call a TV repair shop for assisitance.

Equipment rental

look in your local yellow pages for industrial equipment rentals (sunbelt, united rentals), but beware due to extreme liability of possible heavy dammage these things can do in the "wrong hands" most of those places show the "hairy EyeBall" to normal homeowners wanting to rent large heavy equipment and give them made up large costs/fee's to deter them from renting and some may want some sort of proof of operatorship (drivers test) in there parking lot prior to allowing a rental (broken/misused equipment does no one any good)
I know this very well as i know heavy equipment repair costs are very high nowadays

Frigidaire 24' doesnot clean the dishes after complete wash cycle. sometimes it seems as if the top rack does'nt even get wet please advise

ron singh, Have you just moved in to this home? I recently had this same problem.is your water from a well? or is the city water from a well.I just moved from the big city to a smaller suburb out the city. The water in the new place is extremely hard. all of our silverware and glasses had a coating on them. The heated dry cycle made even worse. we had to install a water softener for the whole house. This also helped in the showers and washing machine. The film will go away after softener is installed. There is nothing wrong with the dishwasher.
Hope this helpsJoe Connolly

I dont have a picture at the moment but if you lift the document feeder up to expose the large plate glass, the small plate glass is normally situated at the extreme left hand side of the large plate glass.

What are you using to clean the stove? Only cleaners made for ceran type tops should be used according to directions. Do not use enamel coated pans or glass pans on your cooktop. If you have a boil over, turn off the burner and change to a different burner immediately. Clean up the spill completely before cooking on that burner again. Use a flat edge razor to clean tough residue. Your cooktop will look new for years to come, even with heavy use.

As far as the scratch, don't use abrasive cleaners on the top and only use pots and pans with flat bottoms. If you do use cast iron pans, never scoot them around on the top.

Roof top air won't come on

If you are running the AC on an extension cord it can cause such voltage drop that a fuse or breaker can blow, in extreme conditions it can damage electrical connections. Always use extension cords that are as short as possible and replace the cord ends (especially the female end) whenever they lose clamping force. A heavy duty cord end takes much more effort to plug in the male end and to plug things into the female end. Over the counter extension cords for your purpose should be no less than 12/3 with heavy duty (20 amp) ends and no more than 50' long, if you must go farther you should use a 10/3 cord.

The LCD panel had been broken and needs to be replaced. This is not a cheap part. Check with a local computer repair center to get the replacement screen cost. This should be a damage claim against the movers.

Kenmore ultra wash

This could be due to lime deposits from your water or very hard water. If you fill a glass from the sink is it real cloudy? Also it could be due to low pressure from being clogged or if you have galvanized pipes they may be clogging up and causing low water pressure which is not rinsing off the dishes with enough water. To test the water pressure in your house turn one sink on and then turn the other one on. If there is a large drop in pressure this means your pipes may be starting to clog up. If you found this solution helpful please rate it.
