Question about Kenmore Oasis HE 27082 Top Load Washer
In the middle of one of the washing cycles the machine stopped and I got a message saying "LD" I looked it up in the machine's manual and it says that the drain hose might be clogged. We checked it but that's not the problem. The machine won't even shut off. We had to unplug it for it to go off. Any ideas as to what else might be the problem before we call a repair guy and they charge us an arm and a leg to fix it.. Thanks.
"LD" COMES ON and DOESN'T DRAIN
I pressed buttons, restarted it and it just beeps. I unplugged and restarted only to get the "LD" and stops with a beep and water still in the drum.
SOLUTION: Take the large metal backing off. At the bottom of the plastic drum near the left, is a small black rubber "L" shaped tube where the water drains. GET A BUCKET AND SOME TOWELS or you'll flood the room when you disconnect this tube. Use large plyers to take off the clamp. Once you remove it IT WILL DRAIN have bucket ready!! Once the water drains look in the tube and the connectors to the left, you should find your problem. I pulled a piece of rug out from there that was jammed in there and next to the motor causing the problem. Reconnecting this "L" shaped tube was a bit hard but doable. GOOD LUCK
