Cannot reinstall Nero8 Express Essentials Side by Side Error

Just as Sir Richard who posted his problem 4th Feb, 2009, I also have a medion pc with Vista as o/s. I received on my pc that I must upgrade my software and I went ahead and said yes. After I upgraded it I found that I cannot use my Nero8 Express Essentials that came preinstalled with my pc. I have a back up application disc and I install Nero8 via this but once the installation is complete errors pop up, such as side by side configuration is incorrect, unable to register, error code 2147010895, error 14001 and these errors pop up against all the Nero essentials. What am I doing wrong, why can't I reinstall this program? By the way I am new at this so I need an idiot proof solution.

How long ago did you email Nero? Did you use their website or did you send directly from your email account? Check the formt of your email and make sure you are sending "Plain Text." Often, international messages become gobledygook on the other end. So, try re-sending as Plain Text.

Uninstall All versions of Nero from your computer
Remove the all the nero folders from Programme files.
Shut down the internet connection and all anti-spy, anti-virus software before re-installing Nero.
If step 1 does not solve the problem, install a package from Microsoft here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=200B2FD9-AE1A-4A14-984D-389C36F85647&displaylang=en
(before installing this package, please first remove all "VS 2005 c++ redistributable package" previously installed in your system.) Reboot, and re-install Nero express
Remove the all the nero folders from Programme files.
