I would take a look at the gas coil solenoids. The gas coils are right above the gas valves. They are black electrical coils. When energized, the coils open the gas valves. If one or more of the coils is defective (bad solenoids), then the gas valves won't open and the gas cannot ignite. Because it's difficult to test the coils, it is best to replace both (all) of them at the same time. Sure hope this helped and best wishes.

I replaced the timer and it still dosen't work and clothes don't get dry

you have to check the igniter fisrt, if your dryer is white you have a plug at the lower left corner, remove it,turn the dryer on and look for the igniter to glow. if you see no glow after 1 minute replace the igniter. if it glow and goes off and no gas is ignited then replace the coils.

When the dryer is cold the heater flame will

The heating circuit is working perfectly except for the solenoid coils as indicated by the occasional glowing of the igniter but no gas is ignited. A gas valve closes as the solenoid coil weakens as it gets hot and does not open until it has cooled down. Replace both gas valve solenoid coils to get the dryer back into proper operation. The solenoid coils are part numbers 694539 and 694540 but also can be purchased as a kit here.

Gas Dryer. Heat for only one burn cycle.

Try vacuuming out the intake and exhaust of the burner to remove any lint or other debris. If no help, the main burner may need to be replaced.

Gas dryer heat is intermediate

does the igniter glow white or orange? if it is orange you need to replace it. has to be white hot to ignite. if the igniter is white it could be the coils not opening the gas valve all the time - an intermittent problem.

Ignitor won't ignite after working for 2-5 min

Your fuel supply is OK?

If the igniter comes on and you have fuel, there is no problem ... for some reason you dont have fuel, seems to me.

Did you check the gas valve(s). There nay be several.

If you have gas and the valves are on ... you have an electric (gas relay valve) problem.

My Kenmore 90 series dryer's pilot light is out. What can I do?

Modern Gas dryers do not have a pilot light. You CANNOT re-light them. They use a glow-bar or spark type igniter to ignite a flame. If you are having problems with ignition, the first thing to check would be if your igniter is working or not. Here's some useful information about igniters you should know and understand:

TWO BASIC IGNITER TYPES:

Carborundum (Cylindrical in shape) – needs to produce 2.5 to 3.0 amps for the gas safety valve to work.
Norton (Rectangular in shape) – needs to produce 3.2 to 3.7 amps for the gas safety valve to work.

NOTE: There is a UNIVERSAL FLAT BAR igniter on the market as well, that can be used as a substitute if the igniter type that came with your range is not available.

An easy way to determine if you may have an igniter problem is to check for a glow or listen for a clicking noise. The igniter typically goes bad in one of two ways, the igniter either stops glowing completely, or becomes weak over time and doesn’t produce enough current to open the gas safety valve (in this case the igniter will still glow but the oven still won’t light). Longer ignition times can be another symptom of an igniter possibly going bad.

Please provide an accurate model number and I can assist you further. If you have questions, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Intermitten Heat up

make sure that your vent is not plug up can you go outside your house and feel good air coming out the vent when the dryer is turn on if so the only other things it could be is the coils that sit on the ignotor assmebly or the high limit termistat is not working properly the coils are little black circle coils that sit in the ignitor assmly should have a metal braket across the top of them holding them in you can check resistance on these coils if you have an meter

After a few heating cycles the burner does not ignite

The problem you are describing is usually associated with a bad gas valve coil. The dryer runs normally until it gets hot, then starts making a strange clicking noise. After it cools down, the dryer runs normally again. The gas valve coils (there are two of them) usually run about $20 a piece. I recommend replacing both of them at the same time just to be sure. I hope this helps.
