How do i remove a bios password from an HP Pavilion N5000 ? (It has a 1.1MHz processor)

    I have no visible screen to see what's going on with the laptop.

    The screen only shows - barely visible verticle lines.

i checked the HP support website and according to HP's policies on bios passwords, they offer a paid service for the password removal

Resetting the bios password


Its Tough you Have to reach *********** boardthere you will find a button cell(probably little away from processors)remove it and place it back after 30 secpower on your pc...

Hi,
If you have a BIOS password issue, you can check the the picture below: redmatrix_9.jpg.

You need to remove the battery that looks like on the left of the picture to reset the BIOS password.

Two ways to reset the Bios/CMOS password are as follows: Basically option number is recommended. 1. Mechanically, by removing all power to the Bios/CMOS thereby forcing it to reset itself to its stored defaults. You can do this by removing the CMOS battery from *********** board or by resetting a jumper on the motherboard itself (referred to as a "clear CMOS" jumper)
2. By using a program to either locate and identify the password. This programs are referred to as password by-pass utilities or cracks.

Forgot all passwords, windows and bios


Disconnect the power supply, remove the battery, then locate and remove the BIOS battery for a minute or so. That should Flash/Reset the BIOS to no password.
