My Ionic Breeze Quadra makes a sizzle sound when I turn it on & I just cleaned it & at night I see blue lights burning inside of it? Bob

Mine sizzles too, I cleaned it accoring to the intructions. Including using canned air to get rid of the excess dst in and o the unit. it still continues to sizzle.

Clarification Request

Hey there,

When you say mylar tabs, are you meaning the orangey strips on the bottom of the ion bars? My machine makes a high pitched noise that I can hear (not everyone can though). I don't think those orangey strips or tabs are still on my ion bars.

Could this be my problem? I really hope so--I love my ionic breeze. I have an old Quadra model from about 2000.

I had the same problem and found that the mylar on the tabs at the bottom of the plate assembly was damaged (torn). I was able to repair the part myself using mylar tape. This solved the sizzle problem. I
