SOURCE: how to remove the cd player from Honda odyssey EX 2002 model
The trim panel that surrounds the radio and contains the climate controls and possibly 1 or 2 other switches needs to be removed. Apply gentle, even pressure on the edges and gradually move to the other edges, and the clips should pop out.
I would advise against unplugging the climate controls or radio however other switches can be unplugged safely.
Once the panel with the climate controls is removed there should be 4 phillips head screws holding the radio in place; remove those and you should be golden.

One thing about Volvo CD player/changers...they tend to not like burned CDs and even more, burned CDs with labels on them.
I'd suggest against trying to get it out yourself.
You can get it replaced and the dealership should have a form so you can get your CDs sent back.
Ok this may seem barbaric but it worked on mine.......Hit the top of the stereo a couple of times and see if it corrects the problem.
