Some control boards actually ground through 1 of the screws that mount the board to the metal surface of the blower assembly. If you pull the board and look at the backside, you may be able to see the printed circuit of the board. There will be alot of small circuits going from 1 point and another, and there will be large areas of metal within the board that act as the COMMON for the controls. And that large area of metal is connected with the lil metal posts that the screws go through and acts as a surface ground. You may not have the screw(s) through that point. OR! You may not have it wired correctly, old board damaged other components, reverse 110v polarity.

Is the 5 amp fuse good on the board? Do you have high voltage? Low voltage? Usually power going into the board but nothing going out points to a bad board. Make sure you have both high and low voltage.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi MSH12TH heat pump air handler 110v

Wireing this type AC with the wrong voltage, will damage more than the circuit boards. I think the installer wil need to be responsible for the damage he created. The factory will also try to get out of the replacement because of the installers lack of know how.

SOURCE: Air handler

This should be doable: First get pen and paper-start at the furnace, theres a group of 5-8 wires leaving the furnace anfd going to the thermostat and a group of 2-3 going to the condenser outside that all need to be identified and the location in the furnace recorded if your furnace has a control board simply right the letter and the corresponding wire color:and whether it belongs to the condenser grp or the T-stat grp.

Furnace
R-red-to t-stat
C-yellow to cond
Y-red to cond and yellow to t-stat
G- green-to t-stat
W- white- to t-stat

If you dont have a circuit board youll be doing the same thing but using the components rather than letters;

Transformer 24v- red to t-stat
transformer 24v com -yellow to cond
Red from cond connected to yellow from t-stat
fan relay - green to t-stat
gas valve - white to t-stat

K then go to you t-stat and simply connect the corasponding component or leter to the thermostat gterminal

Cond Furnace Thermostat

yellow com- blue -C or B
gas valve or w-white -W
fan relay or g -green -G
trans 24v or R -red - R
red connection to cond or Y on board -Y
Hope this helps.

There is an updated resistor/connector package. Very expensive from GM, try your local NAPA or other parts supplier for a replacement

My Rheem Air Handler runs all the time,a/c works fine and cools the house but I want the air handler to kick off when not in use. It's model RBHA-14J00NFRA Volts 208/240VAC PH/HZ 1/60

IS your thermostat set to automatic on the fan switch? If so then you may have a stuck fan relay in the air handler. If it has an electronic control board the relay is on the board and the whole board would need replaced. If it is not a stuck relay then you could have a crossed wire from the thermostat to the air handle, usually the green wire from the t-stat, it could be crossed with the red wire that supplies 24 volts to the t-stat.

How to adjust blowed speed on a rheem air handler

There are probably six wires coming out of your air handler blower motor. There are 2 brown wires which are capacitor wires, one white wire which is neutral, and probably red, black, and blue. Look behind the door of the air handler to see the wiring diagram. They should have the color coded speeds marked on the diagram. There is probably some sort of control board that the blower speed taps plug into. By changing these wires around on these taps you can adjust the speed of the blower motor.

Rheem Criterion II - blower works OK w heat or AC, not by itself

does the blower do anything? turn the power off and take the lead that comes off of the "cool" ( wire from the blower motor) and hook it up to the outlet side of the door switch ( the wire that comes off the door switch and goes to the board) turn the power back on and push the door switch in this will allow 110v to the blower if the blower runs the blower is good

reatach all door switch wire and blower wire to "cool"

disconnect all low voltage terminal wires at control board from thermostat make a jumper with a seperate wire from R to G if it runs it is your Thermostat or the wires inbetween the two

if it doesnt you probably have a burnt solder spot on the back of the control board and will need to replace the board

hope this helps
