completely uninstall adobe reader related products from your computer and then download the latest one from their website again, I can possibly do this over remote support with you, if your intrested?

For Remote support open this page

  • Ekse Jul 28, 2009

Its not difficult, you need a web server, space, atleast 10MB for the page and remote support program. Then write one webpage with such info as you see on mine..

I'll gladly make one for you if your intrested?

  • Ekse Jul 28, 2009

well, you need to find a webhost atleast 10mb of space, probably free, or with a monthly fee.

Email me ones you have a webhost I can do the rest for you, which remote support software where you thinking about using?

  • Ekse Jul 28, 2009

You can use teamviewer since your helping friends etc, its completely free. Try to find a webhosting service, the space needed is very small.

you can probably get a free webhost from somewhere and register for it and we can put it in there.

Cant open pdf

Make sure only adobe 9 is the only version of adobe reader you have installed on that computer. Then go to where your PDF file is and right click on it with the mouse and go into properties.

In the general tab where it says type of file it will show you what program is opening up the PDF file. Click on the change button and where it says recommended programs see if Adobe reader is there, if its not then down below where it says other programs click on the down arrow and see if adobe reader shows up there. If it shows up in either section then choose it, then click on apply, and then click on okay.

Now if for some reason adobe reader doesn't show up in either section, then you'll need to browse for it. It normally installs itself in the program files folder, then double-click on it and go into the adobe folder, Adobe 9.0 and then the reader folder. The name of the reader program looks something like acrord32 and it will say application to the right of it. At that point choose it and apply the changes so it opens up with Adobe reader.

This should cover everything, if your still having problems, let me know and I'll help you out further.

You may need to remove the Adobe 9 program, download the program again (there was a recent upgrade), and reinstall it. That should override any previous settings.

Need to delete Adobe Reader 7.0.9 so I can reinstall latest Versi

I was able to remove Adobe 7.0.9 by getting feed back from "question to google crowd"!
1. I had to download a program that removed the "setup" from the Adobe 7.0.9 on my computer.
2.I then downloaded Adobe 8.1 (with the understanding that since "7.0.9" now had no setup instructions" there would be no problem with the "8.1" download) -
3.Once "8.1" was downloaded I went to "ADD/REMOVE" and removed "7.0.9" - this time it worked just fine - no message that I had to find a folder with "7.0.9" .
4.After removing "7.0.9" I removed "8.1" with the ADD/REMOVE program;
5.All Adobe was removed from the computer..I then downloaded ADOBE 9 from Adobe's website.
6.I went to my portfolio to check it out and the pages came up without a hitch.
Goodluck to those who have had a similar problem.
