Question about HTC S620 Smartphone

1 Answer

Random shut offs

My phone will randomly shut off and I can't get it to turn back on unless it's plugged into the power source. It tends to happen when I turn on wifi and after it does turn back on the battery is drained to almost being dead.

Re: Random shut offs

Sounds like a faulty battery, these phones arent known to have very good battery life even when they work properly

My t-mobile g1 keeps randomly turning off and wont turn back on unless i put it to a charger but then when it comes back on the battery life is fine. it only happens when calling people, listening to...

I believe this could be a battery, well we have the same phone and all process you take note sounds like it was my problem before.

Why is this things happening?

Battery can be easily damage due to improper usage like charging the phone while calling, listening to music, browsing etc. two current supply is entering your phone simultaneously. One is coming from the battery powered and the other is coming on the dc charger.the result, it will make your battery deform.

Just replace it a new one and for sure it will be fine again. But please avoid or minimized using your phone while on charge. To be able to preserve your battery life for long time usage.

Hope this simple guide helps you. Thank you for visiting FixYa....

Was vacation in Hawaii? I think Humidity has gotten the best of your phone. If its a 3G phone call T-Mobile and see if their is an update for your phone.

Shutting on and off

If your battery is fairly new, then you have a technical problem as the unit is resetting. A faulty battery can cause this but not at random. If under warranty, have it seen to.

Radio keeps turning off

I had this problem last year ... very annoying to say the least.
It turned out to be my battery, it's was saying charged but was not.
I know it sounds far fetched but try switching with someone elses battery, or grab a new one in the store to try for a minute. You may also be able to try using your phone while it is plugged in. If the battery is not too far gone this will work to prove the battery is the issue.
It worked for me and I have heard of others having the same success by switching batteries. The girl that figured this out for me told me these batteries are not meant to be charge for long periods of time, and that plugging the phone in as you go to bed is what was harming mine. This I can't back up, but she was on the money with my other problem so she may be right?

Good luck

Blackjack stuck in "phone off"

This solution worked for me: NJ

My Samsung Blackjack showed "Phone off" on the screen even after I switched on/off several times.

The fix: Turn the phone on and call your voicemail (i.e., hold "1" to connect to voicemail).
It will prompt you that the phone is off and that if you want to turn it on.

Press "yes" and Voila!
