Question about Philips GOGEAR SA6045 MP3 Player

My Philips GoGear 4GB MP3 player froze up and will not come back.

My Philips GoGear 4GB MP3 player froze up in the middle of me playing music, which has happened plenty times before, but usually when I plug it in to the USB thing in the computer, it stays frozen until the battery is completely dead and then the computer out of nowhere can read it... Then, of course it would charge up. But this time, I plugged it into the USB thing in my computer and it is still frozen... It seems like the battery isn't dead yet but usually it only takes and hour or two for the battery to die.... This has been ONE FULL DAY and it's still not responding. PLEASE HELP! I do not have much memory on the thing, I love my mp3 player even though it sucks so PLEASE PLEASE help me!!!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

You need to convert them to mp3 format for a mp3 player to recognize them.

How do i convert my rhapsody music files to play on my mp3

You have to get Rhapsody's Mp3 only service - I repeat, MP3 ONLY. No other level of Rhapsody service will work with the newer Philips' GoGear's - which is funny, b/c Philips co-branded with Rhapsody on the newer players.

My 4 giga bite mp3 player is frozen

Take the video off (as in delete it from the goGear), re-run it through the ArcSoft/Philips Media Converter, reload, and try again. If the file is a music video, it is probably copyrighted and will not be able to play on the Go Gear.

Make sure that there is available memory. If there is, then you will need to do a firmware upgrade and reload the songs onto the player. If you already have the latest firmware, then you will need to reformat the player either in Windows Media Player or the computer. If that fails, use the repair function in the Philips Device Manager.

It froze

Reset button will turn it off (actually, volume + plus play at the same time, I believe will reset it). - if the problem persists, then go to www.usasupport.philips.com and upgrade the firmware for your GoGear. Windows Media Player 11 will cause intermittent freezing on this device.

You would have to go on the site and download the software for Windows 2000 ( I saw they have a version for Philips Manager for other versions of Windows)

Try playing that particular track on your PC. If the same happens, then it is a corrupt file.
