Reboot is simply mean restart ur pc and load the software and necessary file during booting. If any system file is lost then u will need system boot disc for either repair or format ur sytem.

Samsung Sens X06 bios fail

see this steps and proceed .God bless you
    • 1 Download a crisis recovery program designed specifically to restore damaged or otherwise non-functioning copies of Phoenix BIOS. Read the instructions for using the recovery program to make sure that no specific changes or configurations need to be done to it before it is used.
    • 2 Place the Phoenix BIOS recovery program and its files onto a blank disc or a USB drive according to the program's instructions (this usually simply consists of extracting the files from an archive.) Once the program and its files are in place, insert the disc into the computer's drive or plug the USB drive into an available USB port.

    • 3 Hold down both the Windows key and the "B" key on your keyboard and press the power button on the computer. (On some laptop computers, you will need to press the "Fn-B" keys instead.) Wait for the disc drive light or the USB drive access light to start flickering to show that the computer is accessing the Phoenix BIOS recovery program, and then release the keys.
    • 4 Wait patiently while the Phoenix BIOS recovery program overwrites the damaged sections of the motherboard's current BIOS installation. Depending on the computer and the recovery program used, the computer may or may not reboot once BIOS recovery is complete. If the computer does not reboot on its own, wait at least 10 minutes before manually restarting the computer to make sure that you do not interrupt BIOS recovery. Eject the disc or remove the USB drive before rebooting to prevent accidentally reloading the recovery program.
    • 5 Reboot the computer and watch to make sure the Phoenix BIOS screen appears as normal. Once the BIOS loads properly, your operating system should launch as normal.

Tapping F8 to get to safe mood doesn't work, what next?

sounds like your MBR is messed up....if you have system mechanic, you can use it as an emergency boot up and fix MBR disc....otherwise, you'll have to use either an OEM builders disk or the requested disc [ACHI cd-rom ] to reboot from.another option would be to try this;http://download.cnet.com/MbrFix/3000-2094_4-10485990.html?tag=mncol;1
get someone to download it for you, or go to the library with a flash drive to record it to, then burn it to a disc, then place it in the computer and reboot, it should reboot from the cd drive first....however it is best to check first...so reboot now, and tap the f1 or f2 key to reach the bios screen...arrow over to the boot option, and follow prompts to make sure the boot order is cd rom 1st, then f10 [ save and exit ] then reboot, then add the MBR fix disc you made AFTER , then reboot again...let me know what happens

Error codes pxe-m61 and pxe-mo0f

The error PXE-M61: Media test failure usually means the hard diskhas failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty.First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

I need to press a key on my keyboard to start factory recovery

Hi and welcome to Fixya!

In order to revert the machine back to its factory setting, you need to have the recovery disk (if you don't have it, call the warranty support line of e-machines so they can provide it to you).

To restore Windows from your recovery discs, you will need to
insert the first backup disc and enable the F12 Boot Menu via the BIOS Setup
Utility.
1 Turn on your computer and insert the first system recovery disc into the
optical disc drive. Restart your computer.
2 During startup when the eMachines logo shows, press the F2 key to enter
BIOS Setup, where you can set system parameters.
3 Use the left and right arrow keys to select the Main submenu.
4 Use the up and down arrow keys to select F12 Boot Menu.
5 Use the F5 or F6 key to change F12 Boot Menu to Enabled.
6 Press the ESC key to enter the Exit submenu, press the ENTER key to Exit
Saving Changes. Press the ENTER key again to select Yes. The system will
reboot.
7 After rebooting, when the eMachines logo shows, press the F12 key to
open the Boot Menu. Here you can select which device to boot from.
8 Use the arrow keys to select the IDE1*, then press the ENTER key. Windows
will be installed from the recovery disc.
9 Insert the second recovery disc when prompted, then follow the onscreen
prompts to complete the restore.
10 Remove the recovery disc from the optical drive once the restore is
complete. Do this before rebooting your computer.

Hope this helps!

How can i restore my samsung NP-R60Y to factory setting without the reboot disc?

Hi,

Well, you can order Recovery Disc from Samsung which can be used to restore the laptop to factory settings.

If you wanted, you can install an operating system on your own. You need to either buy a copy of Windows or download it. If you download a copy of Windows you need to burn it to a CD or USB. Then boot the laptop up into the USB or CD and it will install Windows. It will reset the computer to new but not exactly like it was when you purchased it. Why? Well, Samsung and other companies preload a lot of junk software into the laptops with the operating system. This is how the make extra money. That is one reason why I don't really use the factory recovery disk.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
G33k

How to reboot my computer

There are many ways on how to reboot computers. Usually the term reboot means to restart the computer. If you would like to know how to restart it then just go to start->shutdown and it should give you a drop down asking you what you would like to do. Now if by Reboot you mean re-install the operating system, you would then need to call Toshiba and order some recovery discs (you may still have them).

Once you have the recovery discs, you may need to go in to the BIOS of the computer so you are able to make it boot from the CD instead of the hard drive.

Once you boot from the CD, everything else should be self explanatory.

2 ways. 1, place CD 1 or DVD 1 into the DVD/CD drive and reboot the computer. 2, reboot the computer and press F8 before the Windows screen appears. This should give you the option to use System Restore or Software Restore.

I just receiver recovery and system disc from Acer to restore my laptop to factory settings. I tried couple times and followed the instructions. The recovery disc formatted partition 2 on the computer but...

Looks like your recovery cd is corrupted. You must obtain a copy of Ms Windows cd and install it using the license from the back of your laptop. If that doesn't work either its a hardware related (hdd) problem.

ASUS eeePC 900 Keeps rebooting at XP load screen.

You're computer is booting that's not your problem. Its just not booting into Windows which is a different subject, so a boot disk will not do you any good. You have some corrupted files at the Windows end not the start up end. The only way to correct the Windows corrupt files is to use a Windows disc. So you'll have to buy/borrow a portable DVD/CD player and a copy of windows. Once the Windows disc loads then its just a matter of clicking on "repair" when the disc asks..that one of the drawbacks of netbooks..If you have any questions let me know..
