Re: belt

Turn vac over, remove 4 or 5 screw, then the top cover should come off, the belt is a cogged belt # 72393. Belt goes between the brush roll motor and the brush roll.

How to put a Kirby Vacuum belt back on New belt seems too short

To put on a kirby belt all you need to do is put on the belt on the brushroll, put the brushroll into the housing making sure the marks on the end of the brushroll are the same. Take the spin dial in the front and "hook" the belt till the dial reads off. Put the head back on the machine and spin the dial to "on".

How do I put a new belt on Hoover Concept One vaccume cleaner?

you most likely have to remove the cover over the roller, which has screws usually. then you will see the belt. the roller slips out replace the belt by putting it over the roller and a metal rod that is up under the cover you removed. this will be a hard job putting the roller bar back in the vacuum because the belt is so tight.

Cannot fit a belt to hoover whirlwind

on the top of the base you will see three slots on each side of the top of the base the middle slot has a screw one on each side take those out and the cover will lift will be at the roller and belt.lift up on the roller and put it on the side .you must clean the old rubber left on the motor shaft first before installing the new belt.otherwise the new belt won't last long.slip the belt over the motor shaft then put your roller brush through the new might have to pull forward on the roller to get it in place because of the new belt ,they are a little tight at the beginning.then alighn your roller ends and put the roller back in their slots.turn the roller by hand till the belt in in the middle of belt guide on the roller .now you can put the cover back on .then your in buisness.

Hi This is quite complicated but I'll try and simplify this for you:
If this is a Panasonic upright then there are two drive belts as you know. Once you take off the sole plate (where the beater bar is) by undoing screws and the beater bar is looking at you, you would have to take off the smaller belt motor pulley first before putting on a new larger drive belt. If the smaller belt is still intact and you only need to replace the larger belt, you'll still have to take off both belts to put on the new drive belt.
Motor pulley belt has to be taken off first then the old drive belt, then grasp the beater and slide on new larger drive belt before having to attach the motor pulley belt and then the larger belt onto the motor pulley. Once all belts have been attached ensure that the beater bar is pushed in correctly before you screw the sole plate back on.
