SOURCE: task bar consumes two rows at bottom of screen

Hi, try this to fix the problem. [right] click on the "Taskbar" select to open the "Properties" short-cut, next in the [Taskbar and Start Menu...] window, click on the Taskbar button, and [un-check] every box. Next, open the Toolbars window, and [un-check] every box, "Apply and OK changes." After you have finished doing so, "restart" the Computer. When you are back to the "Desktop window, open the Taskbar Properties again, and put a {Check mark in all the boxes of the items you want present, to view}. I hope that it works for you; thanks for using Fix'Ya, and if you find the time give a "rating" for the help, thanks again.

SOURCE: THE TASK BAR APPEARS AT THE TOP OF THE WINDOW

First, make sure the taskbar is not locked. Right click the taskbar and make sure the is no check mark beside 'Lock the taskbar".

Now, point your cursor just beside the START button (outside the START orb and on the task bar), click and hold and now you can move it to the bottom of the window.

SOURCE: Laptop will not boot up completely, shows backdrop

this is a condition caused by a damaged windows....To be exact some of the system files that are responsible with the desktop appearance were damaged or radically changed...
First point the mous at the bottom of the screen to see if the task bar is not set to autohide...if nothing gets on ..try to right click on desktop and than properties,,,and on the themes choose the windows that you use...and ok ..and see if the desktop is getting back ....If the result is the same the only fast solve is to reinstall it using the recovery cd ..or partition ...or a boot-able cd with the operation system ...cause if it is not getting back after that it means that it was completely and irremediable damaged..

Start tast bar disappears

Right click (hit right mouse button) on task bar and click to lock task bar and uncheck hide task bar. If you cannot right click on time before it disappears move pointer to the bottom of screen and it should reappear. Than follow above steps. If all else fails restart computer clicking on the F8 key repeatedly until start menu comes up , choose safe mode and when the computer starts up your task bar should remain in place, follow above steps to unhindered it permanently and reboot the computer it will start back up in normal mode and your task bar should be "fixed"

How to get the task bar to it natural size?

It is possible to make the task bar taller than it is by default, and this is the only way that I know of to change the size of the task bar, so I have to assume that you are asking how to take the task bar back down to the original "tallness." You would put your mouse cursor at the top of the task bar until it turns into a double-headed arrow, and then click down and drag the top edge toward the bottom of the screen until it is the normal height. If the task bar is locked, this cannot be done, so make sure it is unlocked by right-clicking on an empty spot on the task bar and make sure that "lock task bar" is not checked first.

Sidebar has suddenly moved to side affecting size of screen. How do I return it to bottom???

You are probably talking about the windows Task bar that normally resides at the bottom of the screen:
.
Two ways of moving this task ba, to top/bottom/letft/right position of the display:
  1. Move the cursor on a blank/inactive area on the task bar, usually in the largest blank area towards the right, click and hold the right mouse button and drag the Task bar to the bottom of the screen.
  2. Go to the Task Bar 'Properties' (You can get this context menu by clicking the left mouse button after putting the cursor on a blank/inactive area on the task bar) and change the 'Task bar location on screen' option.
Hope it helps: let me know how you go.

The task bar along the bottom of the screen, I can't see it

Adjust controls on the monitor. There a double box that lays on top of the other. Adjust that option... You may also want to adjust the setting that shows a box with arrows pointing up and down. adjust it as well.. Experiment on the settings. You'll get it right.

3 inch blank space at top and bottom of 50 inch projection hitachi ultra vision

Good Day, richardyoung;

Lack of vertical reflection? Does this happen on all channels? Can you change channels and the picture size changes? Are you receiving a HD signal? Have you tried changing the format?

I hate to ask you all these questions but I need to understand your concern completely. If you answered some of questions above yes / no; your TV might be okay. But try them.

Good Luck, big IRISH.
