I have a hatachi HDC-1499ER the problem I have is the lense no longer comes out when I turn camera any idea why please help thankyou

The magic focus will stop if there is a bad sensor and or a problem in the convergence circuit.

This set uses two STK-392-110 convergence chips--both along with any of the resistors that protect them need to be replaced and the set adjusted--I have repaired hundreds of these sets----


Confirm model number----and if you go into the customer menu and either red or blue will not move in any or some direction--the chips have to be replaced---LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND AND I CAN GIVE YOU FAIRLY DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ON WHERE TO GET THE PARTS AND WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THIS REPAIR.

This could be a lens issue or power issue. Here are two websites that delineate what you can try to fix the problem:

Even though it says "lens error", it applies to all lens problems.
