Question about Maytag MSD2656G Side by Side Refrigerator
Can not find where this water coming from. It is not continuously. From time to time there will be a puddle under the fridge
More than likely the water is coming from the water produced from the defrost cycle. Ordinarily the water is piped through the back of the frig to a tray next to the compressor. The pipe may be out of place or crack in tray? Hope this helps

This _may_ be normal behaviour. When the freezer defrost element is heating, ice that melts off of the evaporator coils in the freezer will drain out of a small opening at the back of the freezer compartment and into a catch pan under the refrigerator. If that pan has other debris - cat hair, napkins, etc - the water may overflow the pan onto the floor.
Get behind the fridge, remove the bottom panel (at least that is how I can access it on my GE side-by-side), and see what you can see.
While you are back there, it is a good idea to clean the dust from the condenser coil, or use a shop vac to blow the dust from the coil.
Remember your electrical safety and unplug the fridge first, and be careful what you touch. I assume the compressor uses a large start capacitor that could still be energized even with the fridge unpluged.

The water line is broken somewhere from the water dispencer all the way down to the water valve. I usually find that it is broken next to the water valve. Hint: Water valve is blue and located behind the fridge in the compressor department. Water line is 1/4inch clear tube that is probaly now a "yellowish" color. Easy to spot, easy to fix, especially if located next to water valve...

If leak continued then you must have a faulty cut off valve. Check and tighten valve. Also, check the hose that runs underneath the fridge for cuts or holes.

Clean the drain pan and drain line in the back of the freezer section behind the cover underneath the evaporator coil. (hint: use turkey baster with hot water)
Make sure water drains when you
pour it in. If it doesn't - also clean drain tube on the back of the
unit behind the cover. When done - put the tube exactly where it was.
Good luck! :)
