Can't put videos on my Latte Ice

Now, read VERY carefully. It says video format is avi but when I do that, it says file format Error. Then I tried MPEG. That didn't work either. I tried MP4. No luck. So is my player defective or what? Can someone tell me how to put videos on my Latte Ice please? A proven method that works? PLEASE!

I know this topic is old, but I just got my Latte Ice yesterday and just like you guys having problem putting videos. I found the simple solution. You are right phastvrod, you have to use the converter software that came with it (AVIConverter) but I never read someone that says that the resolution should be 320x240 (which is in the manual). After clicking the ADD button you will see a new windows prompt and on top left it say RESOLUTION. All other setting, does not matter. I tried using different converters using same resolution of 320x240 - it does not work, so use the software that came with it.

You MUST use the video converter provided by Latte with the Ice Player, don't try to upgrade it or retrofit it. If you have tried to upgrade the player and did not do specifically what they said in the order they said, you are out of luck. there is not much support from Latte at all they are merely a wholesaling company and know less than nothing of their own products

Are you sure they support those formats? Because alot of the cheaper mp3 devices usually support .mtv files which is a cheap chinese format.

How do i put videos on my nextar MA797-20 MP3 Player every time i try to watch it on my mp3 it says file format error

Hi,

Video files need to be converted into the correct format in order to work on the player. This Nextar uses the AVI format for video and you will need to ensure that you have converted your files into this format.

For a good breakdown on how to do this and a link to a free AVI convertor please view this FixYa Tip. Video issues are discussed at bottom of that page.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Hi...

The problem is your video is AVI, and your mp3 did not play a AVI format they can not read, so you need to convert your AVI video to the Format required by your mp3, so that the video will play.

Hope it may helpful for you

Coby mp610 2g mtv unknown format

Hey try to get the video file you are converting to .mtv to convert to .mov first.I had the same problems until I tried it that way.Someone else somewhere says mpg is a good format that the converter will read well and convert properly.I never tried it though. However I find that .avi files will give you problems. This is because .avi is a container not a format.

Also remember Youtube videos download as flv files and if you use MediaCoder like I do,to convert from flv to .avi you will have problems because the actual format will be Xvid and the container .avi.

fFor the sys err problem..visit the Coby USA website ...there is a firmware fix there. The actual link is on this site in another Coby mp 610 question.

I hope this works...let us know

Videos....plezzz help me!!!

I had the same problem, I transfered files already in AVI format and the player did not recognize them. I used the sofware that came with the player (AVI Converter, I think) to convert my videos to AVI and I selected that the program copy them directly to player ( the player has to be connected to your computer while converting the files, obviously) instead of doing it manually. At least that worked for me. Another option is to convert the videos to flash format (.flv). I don't know why the player reads those kind of files (as per the manual and GPX web page it's supposed to read AVI only) but it works. Hope this helps.
