The problem is most likely in the detachable face. You could purchase a new one but it would cost about $135. Might be better just to buy a new radio. You can check for the part at http://www.pacparts.com/ .
you need a deck.
a plug for the factory wiring harness(unless you just want to snip wires)
an install kit for the dash
i just did the same thing in my buick regal and it was pretty simple
you should be able to find the install kit and plug at walmart. the plug
cost me $8 and the kit was $12. so for $20 you can buy whats needed to
install the deck. now you just need to buy the deck.
good luck
If the cd's come in and out fine then it has something to do with key wire (red) . I try and always use and a adaptor harness when installing aftermarket decks. Make sure your wires are well inulated and not pinched when deck is "in its place".
I have the same deck. replace the flex ribbon to sub panel. It's a problem with this deck. I've replaced the rear panel ribbon numerous times as well as the front panel ribbon.
try taken face plate off if detachable then put back on sounds like the face plate clip might be weak and or missing spring inside
but if face plate stays attached just need to clean and put back on right to deck no easy way to say that
My first guess would be that the ribbon cable between the flip face and
the mother board has gone bad. This is a very, very common
problem. I'd suspect that above everything else at this point.
