Question about Samsung LN-T4661F 46 in. LCD HDTV
I get 4 fine lines across the screen when the TV is turned on and only occasionally. It is like the screen is divided into 4 equal parts. The lines are on a horizontal plane and very small, but it really affects the picture. TV is only 15 months old.
Based on reported problems with Samsung LCD tvs, It is probably one of three problems:
Separation of layers of the LCD panel;
A defective LVDS cable connection;
A defective T-Con circuit board.
If light hand pressure on the affected area on the LCD panel changes the problem, its the defective panel. If not, manipulating the LVDS cable will reveal the cable defect. If not, coolant spray applied to the T-Con circuit board should reveal if it is defective by temporarily alleviating the problem. Dont remove the back cover if you dont know how to protect yourself from electrical shock hazards. There can be more than 1000 volts in the backlight inverter area.
