Will the Samsung Dvd writer SH-224 replace the SH-S222 that is worn out?

Try reloading your drivers from the start up disc or you could have some un formatted disc in there , try a original disc of sorts and see if you get the saME ERROR . Did you remember to reboot after installing the software for the hardware? Look in my computer and see if it is part of your hardware installed

Please restore the PC to an earlier set date. The restore /back up icon in the control panel must be opened and the PC restored. If not there are faults in the hardware section, the drive or the interface.
