You might send these guys a message and ask them what they think. I have bought parts from them several times. Could be several things. Could be valve that controls water to the ice maker or it could be the control panel or computer itself. Here is their address. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/

If it won't freeze the cubes that because the freezer section is not cold enough to freeze them. the ice maker itself dose not have any cooling in it. it all comes from the freezer. sounds to me like there may be a problem with the ice maker and it may need to be replaced.

Water dispensing into ice maker won't shut off

There should be a float or electronic water level sensor that will tell the water to shut off, if it has calcium from the water on it or the float is damaged it will keep sending water until manually shut off(pull the plug). I would look for a water level sensor of some sort and clean or replace it. If that doesn't work it could be a sticking water fill solonoid which you should then replace

How to diagnose ice maker does not produce ice

The first thing to check is to make sure that the temperature in the freezer is below 10 degrees F. If not the ice maker will not work because the sensor in it won't allow it to call for water. If the temperature is good, check to see if there is ice in the ice maker. If there is and its not dropping ice then more than likely the mold heater which allows the ice to break free and thus be ejected has gone bad and you need to replace the ice maker. If no ice is there check the fill tube to make sure there is no obstruction, and if not turn the ice maker off, wait a minute, then turn it back on, When you do that a small amount of water should initially come in. If it doesn't then the water valve itself has failed. Also a note, check the water filter to make sure its not old, this too will also cause water not to come into the machine but you'll notice this also in the water dispenser area as well.

GE GSH25JFRF BB ice maker doesn't dispense. Water dispenses and ice maker makes ice but won't come out.

There should be a plastice hinge cover on the left top hinge on freezer door. Take it off and press the plug together firmly. Try that and let me know, Sea Breeze

Ice maker is not working. doesn't appear that it's

There are many things that can go wrong with a Kenmore refrigerator ice maker. Your ice maker may be leaking. It may not make any ice at all, or the ice that comes out smells or has an odd appearance. The problem may have an easy solution, or it may require a technician's expertise. The troubleshooting tips in this article will minimally make you aware of what is likely the source of the problem. You may be able to fix the problem yourself and save a bundle.

When it Won't Make Ice
1 Get a thermometer and see how cold it is in there. If your freezer is fewer than 17 degrees F, it won't make ice. The freezer temperature setting may be too high or the thermometer is broken and not calibrated correctly. If adjusting the temperature fails to work, call a Kenmore technician.
2 Determine if your water fill spout in the freezer is plugged with ice. If so, no new ice can be made. Try clearing it out or melting the ice by running a hair dryer on it for a few minutes.
3 Turn your refrigerator around to look at the back side to see if water is getting to the water inlet valve behind the fridge. If the water is not properly connected, there's no water to make ice.
4 Use an ohm meter to test for coil continuity. If the ohm meter shows there is no continuity, then you will need to replace the water inlet valve.

Have a good day : )

Our automatic ice maker will not quit dripping in the freezer. It keeps clogging the ice maker with icicles and large blocks of ice. Essentially, it keeps "freezing over." We have defrosted it...

if it keeps filling and overflowing you have a bad water valve on the back of the fridge.the part number is WR57X10027 and the valve is around 75 dollars.first thing lift the arm or shut off the ice maker so it won't leak anymore, you're missing a few letters off of the model number so when you call your parts store give them the full model number, open the fridge door, look up on the right hand side wall up near the ceiling and give them the model number to make sure you get the correct valve, shut off the water supply to the fridge, then have the new valve next to the old valve when you remove a water line from the old valve just connect it to the new valve,do this until everything is changed out and the new valve is in place, turn on the water supply and you can check the ice maker to make sure it doesn't overflow.you can manually start the ice maker by grabbing the plastic arms of the ice maker and pull them forwards slowly until the arms start to advance on their own, you'll hear the water valve fill the ice maker and then you can watch it fill to see if the water is filling it correctly and i'm sure you'll be fine with the new water valve installed
