Question about GE Spacemaker Washer and Dryer Electric Laundry Center
We've got model WSM2700AWWW combo and the other day my wife complained about the humid heat air. So I pulled out the unit, got behind there and put the air vent back where it should be. Put the unit back, and thought all was good. Today, my wife said the washer isn't working, it filled with water (she had left the top open) - and then when shutting the lid, NOTHING happens. I've taken most all of the water out and also the clothes, but still nothing. Reset circuit breaker (but dryer works, so obviously not that). Hope you can help me out please ...

SOURCE: PLEASE HELP!
right could be your belt, casrbon brushes if the motor has these which you will notice they will have a wire going to a small plastic part on either side of your motor it will have 2 of these if these are worn down to about 8ml they need replacing if your washer does not have carbon brushes than it will have a small circuit board called a module if this is faulty sometimes cheaper to replace your washer

This is an electronic washer. Unplug for 2 minutes, plug back in, open and close lid 7 times slowly. This will reset electronic motor.

SOURCE: Washer wont drain....
try the lid switch with a screwdriver in the slot to see if it activates. Mine did the same thing, would agitate but not empty nor spin and it was the lid switch assembly--a 35.00 part that cost 150.00 to repair with a repairman!

Tips for a great answer:

When the STOP indicator light turns on, the internal water tank has filled with condensed water and the air conditioner will turn off automatically. You can drain the internal water tank by removing the plug on the back of the unit, be ready for a lot of water to come out of the unit. The unit will shut down when the water pan is full. This condition may occur either when the unit is operated in high humidity conditions, or when the unit is being operated in HEATMODE, since the auto-evaporation function will not work in the heating mode. I hope this helps, have a great day, Andy K.
