Hi!
If the camera shows the menu very dark too, could be a dead display backlight fuse. If you have experience with soldering and a multimeter, you can contact me at toms.safranovs@gmail.com and I can help you locate the fuse on the main board. Otherwise, contact your local Sony service center.
