SOURCE: Kitchenaid Superba compressor

The compressor relay is located on the compressor under a cover. Before you go to the compressor I would check for other problems that you can see and hear. If the compressor is running there is nothing wrong with its relay.
1. Check the condenser and make sure it is clear and free of dust.
2. If the compressor is cool or cold check for a bad temperature control.
3. Check the freezer compartment for frost on back wall.

SOURCE: Heat Pump Stops Working only in the Early Morning

I recommend getting electric back up heat to fix your problem. Like the other gentleman said, defrost is having to kick on too much. It's doing the best it can givin the conditions outside. If you don't have enough power supply for electric back up heat, then a gas furnace or propane furnace will work also, depending on your needs. Heat Pumps are a like a full time fan, they are designed to heat your home at a steady rate unlike forced gas units that turn on extremely high temps and then shut off... Ensure your charge is correct, givin your tempatures the unit sounds to be working correctly, however a second opinion is always a good piece of mind before you spend money on emergency heat.. Hope that helps..

SOURCE: AC roof unit stops cooling after rain

No, the units are sealed and the rain should not have affected the system at all. I would remove the outer cover of the unit and access the capacitors. Your start capacitor may be bad. You can visually inspect this and tell if there is a problem. Small black relay on top of capacitor often burns out, if so, replace capacitor and relay. If this looks fine, then we need to start at the thermostat and work our way forward.

Thanks,

Jeff

SOURCE: i have a toshiba 37 wlt 58 lcd tv . i watched the

Sections of the power supply may have gone out, or it detects short circuits in the backlight inverter board or in the power supply itself.
Those are the two areas you need to check. Look fo bad caps with leaking/bulging top fist in the power supply.

My Lennox Air conditioner only heats

It is possible that it's the thermostat. When you turn it into cool mode, does the unit come on at all or is it silent? If nothing is coming on, then it's likely it's the tstat. Did the tech check the refrigerant charge while he was there? He should have checked it with the auxillary heat off and the unit just in heat mode. Make sure that the condenser unit outside is coming on when you are calling for cool, If you turn it on and everything comes on, go outside and put your hand on the large copper pipe coming into the unit. In cool mode, this pipe will be cold to the touch and in heat mode, the pipe will be warm to the touch. There isn't much you can do on your own with the exception of changing the tstat. If you can answer some of the questions I have posed, I can try and give you some more answers. Just remember that a check up doesn't mean its a guarantee that something won't happen the next day, it's just that everything was in working order at the time of the checkup.

Heat Pump Stops Working only in the Early Morning

When the unit does what you say does the fan motor outside stop also , if it does that means it is in defrost mode and should kick back over to normal after the system heats up the coil enough
