It is possible your unit has a bad/desoldered contact on the power supply connector.

See if it freezes when you are moving the power connector, if so, then you should disassemble the unit and resolder the contact pins on the circuit board.

Also check the power supply cable (it might be broken), see if the power connector on the unit has oxydized / dirty contact points (if so, clean them with some fine sandpaper), also check the main power switch with a continuity tester (if the power switch has dirty/oxydized contacts, you should either replace it or disassemble it and clean the contacts).

If none of the above helps, check all the connectors inside the unit, clean them if they are dirty and resolder the pins if the solder contacts are bad.

It could be a problem elsewhere, i just mentioned the first few things i would have checked.

Roland ac 60 sudden loss of power. Is it the fuse?

If you mean it's completely dead, no lights or anything, then probably the fuse is blown. The question then becomes"what caused the fuse tio blow?".
If however, by loss of power you mean it's quiter but still producing sound, then the fuse is not blown.

I have a Fantom S keyboard. I have to press the the F above middle C a lot harder than the other keys to get any sound. How can I repair this?

Hard to say as they are a very complex machine. However have you tried a factory reset - check the manual - its a certain key/button combination. You will losse any special settings but glitches are often solved by a reset. Good luck Bruce

My Roland KR-4700 keyboard will come on and play for about 30 seconds and then no sounds will play at all and the writing disappears from the monitor, but it stays lit. I tried resetting it, but that...

This si likely a problem in the power supply. The regulator is probably failing and dropping the voltage to the processor below what it will operate.

The probkem PROBABLY can be isolated with freeze mist circuit cooler.

First step is to check the voltage of the 5 volt source after it fails.

If you are not adept at electronics this is not a DIY thing.

Where do I get spare parts for my Roland rd 300s. Thanks

It depends what parts. Mechanical things and special chiops you need to contact Roland support parts dept. Go to Roland site and go to support.

For common electronic parts, go to DigiKey.com or Mouser, com.

Roland fantom -x6 freezing

Shipping something to a repair shop is GUARANTEED to TEMPORARILY fix the problem due to vibration in shipping.

Not sure what you are recording to, but if it is an internal hard drive, that would be the prime suspect. Drives are cheap, replace it and format it!

Try looking here to see if you need an update:http://www.roland.com/products/en/_support/dld.cfm?PRODUCT=FANTOM-X6 If you are using bigger samples you may need a memory expansion.
