Try pressing down 1 on remote while the CD tray is open. That resets the default firmwire. It worked in my case when the screen was black with no audio or video.

I am connecting my phone through auxiliary cable but it is not working

Try using a different audio auxiliary cable. Not all brand cables are compatible with the Apple products. I have an audio cable that works fine with my daughters iPhone but when connected to my HTC the head unit in my car won't recognize that anything is even connected. So try using a different device with that cord or try using a different audio cord all together. It could also be in the settings for your iPods audio output.

No screen comes on tv when powered up

my advice is when going through a check to solve the problem is keep it simple and then advance as you continue checking. check that your cords and plugged in firmly, if they are, then check the settings on your television and see if your video mode is in the proper settings to receive video/audio from you PS3, if that does not work, then see if your audio/video cords are bad and that they need to be replaced.

Lose audio unless projector is on or unplugging hdmi cable from sharp xr-32x projector. works fine when watching projector

Your receiver is sensing the video source. Try using optical, or coaxial digital audio for an input, this may work.

Check the setup menu on your TV. Many models require that you choose between using the internal speakers and using the speaker outputs. Sometimes the TV menu choices are "FIXED" (audio output) or "VARIABLE" (internal speakers).
