You could have had a thermal overload fuse break. It breaks when hot air isn't getting out of the dryer fast enough, like when the vent tube gets clogged with lint- but it has to be replaced.

That's one of many options, but if you found a lot of lint in the vent, and removed it... that is what I would check.

if thats all good, the next you'll wanna check the top of the capacitors inside the console, swipe your finger over them, they should be perfectly flat & not domed up in any way, if they are replace with EXACT same type, some people think" if i put a bigger size capacitor in it will stop it blowing so easy again" NOT TRUE.
look for the obvious....black on board, & smell of burnning..
good look

Possible some wiring is burning or melting from under the dashboard have it checked again, the smell does it seem like burnt rubber or plastic?
Have it checked since you mentioned that the lights has gone. see the fuses as well just to be sure.
Better get an expert check it to be sure that nothing will be missed on the issue. If it is a wiring issue then the best thing is have the electrical rewired for best results.

If you have a good spark, and there is fuel at the plug, the only things to stop it fireing up are a sheared flywheel key knocking the timeing out, or the engine has low compression due to wear or damaged piston and ring.

We just started noticing that, when running the dryer, there's a smell coming from the breaker box. It smells like something electrical burning. The circuit breaker for the dryer was a little warm,...

A burning smell from an electrical panel is never a good sign. You did what a lot of people will do, and have the same results - the problem won't go away.

The circuit breaker relies on the mechanical squeeze pressure of its metal clips to maintain solid electrical contact with the panel's bus bars. The problem is likely due to a poor connection between the circuit breaker and the panel board bus bars. Over the years, the load presented by the dryer has heated those points, weakening the metal clips, changing the metal conductivity in some cases due to pitting and arcing. Changing the entire panel is probably not required - especially if there are other unused spaces for a circuit breaker to be installed.

If this is the case, I would remove the new QO230 circuit breaker and install it in a previously unused space in the panel, instead. The bus bar here should be undamaged (since it was never used before), as would be the new circuit breaker contact clips. The damage has been done to the bus bars at the original location, and that space should never be used again. The same holds true for the old QO230 circuit breaker. Install SQD blank plates in the panel cover to keep fingers from getting inside.

Next, a current reading should be taken with an ammeter or amprobe. A 30 amp breaker should have no more than 24 amps on each wire connected to it. If yours is more than that, something is wrong. If it is not more than 24 amps, measuring the voltage at the breaker and the dryer plug should be done as well. The voltage at the plug should not be more than about 3% lower at the plug.

If there is no more room in the panel, a secondary panel can be installed adjacent to and fed from the original panel, space permitting. Move the dryer circuit to the new panel and any two adjacent poles of circuits (for a 240 volt feed). The dryer circuit breaker space will be abandoned and the two additional poles will be fitted with a new QO circuit breaker to supply the new panel. Your electrician should do this work for you. This is "permit required" work and must be inspected for your safety.

I hope this helps and good luck. Please rate my reply. Thank you.

Car seems to be flooded, smell gas and ignition just whirs when trying to start, how long do I need to wait before trying to start again?

I wouldnt start it again till you check the fuel lines for leaks(dont want to burn it up) I then suggest you look for vacuum leaks & do a compression test.pull spark plugs & look for oil fouled spark plugs &smell & observe for signs of raw gas.keep posted

replace the ptc overload relay on the compressor,it merely unplugs,it supplies start and run power to the compressor and if its bad it will allow the compressor to operate on the start windings too,and draw a lot of current

Link keeps getting stuck walking into a wall how do i fix this

Make sure all connecting plugs & wires are unplugged then plug them in tightly again, clean the disc, if you've used it a lot and it has wear & tear that could be an issue.Glitches happen sometimes and resetting things seems to work.

sounds like the mag fan went out and blew the internal fuse they are ceramic fuses 15 or 20 amp available at hardware stores ,if this blows again it could be the mag overheated, but the thermal breaker should have shut it off before this, thenit can also be your h.v. diode or capacitor shorted
