Call customer service, they will walk you through that. Biggest mistake I made was registering a kindle under my email I bought for my wife...never could get it switched actually into her name after that.
1. From Home, tap the Menu icon, and then tap Settings.
2. Tap My account.
3. Choose the Amazon account you want to use on your Kindle: If you already have an Amazon account: Tap this option. Enter your Amazon account information. Tap Register. Your name will appear as the Registered User when registration is complete.
Unfortunately you cannot do this. You can register more than one device on a single Amazon account but you cannot register multiple email addresses and associate them with different devices within a single account.
Sounds like your wife's kindle is registered in your name. You can find out by logging into your account on amazon. Up the top open your account window then scroll down and click on " Manage Your Devices". If your wife's kindle in on your account then you have to unregistered it from your account then see would register it in her name. She can do this while on her kindle table.
You will have to register the new device (your wifes) to your existing kindle account.. You can do this from your menu settings. Turn the kindle on you want to register press the menu button. After you add device you can share books. If you do not see the register device option in your settings, you will have to access your account online.Hope this helped. Ellen
