Other than setting the volume controls in the software, make sure you plugged the speakers into the proper jack. Sometimes there are several output jacks, there may be a line out as well as an amplified out. If the speakers are not amplified, and there is an amplified out jack, try that one.

My NAD C350 plays very faintly. when I turn the volume dial to the max position, I can bearly hear the music. I can hear properly from earphones output. Thanks

Take care. First put the volume down complete. Then unplug the head phone and than try to raise the volume. Could be the headphone connector does not switch through correct. Could be the connections between the pre and power amp are not in place or not proper pushed in?
Always take care when working with amplifiers. When switching them on with volume to max, you easy can kill your speakers. Also when disconnecting the headphones on full power kan damage the loudspeakers.

I cant hear the music very well... it is very faint and i have my speakers plugged in. how do i turn up the volume? i cant find any buttons to do so.

CD changers don't normally drive speakers (the lack of a volume control and speaker connections being a HUGE clue). What are you using for a speaker amplifier?

I have a hot spot VC, and the speaker still play, but they are very faint, and not loud at all. I checked all connections, and don't see any which are broken. Is it worth trying to repair, or should I...

Test the speaker itself. If the speaker is blown replace the speaker(s). If your has a volume control, I suspect the control may have blown. Test it with an ohmmeter. Inexpensive fix if it has blown.

My Gateway laptop that I purchased two years ago has stopped working all of a sudden yesterday. I was on it and had to restart it a couple of times yesterday and then finally when I went to turn it back...

I reccommend you open the laptop and remove the bios battery. this is a small flat round shape battery, leave out of the machine for 20 minutes, then insert it again and power on the laptop. :)

If you can see a faint image of the desktop or the machine works with an external monitor, the either the screen inverter or the screen backlight has gone out. Start by checking the screen connections. The connection to the screen, screen to inverter and screen to motherboard. Connections can sometimes work loose. A loose connection generally causes the screen to go out entirely, rare but occasionally it can cause just the backlight to go. If the connections are good, then you will need to take it in to have the screen and inverter tested to find out which it is. If it turns out to be the backlight, you will have to purchase a new screen, screen are considered sealed units and just the backlight can't be changed out.
