Television will not powwer on

This model of TV uses the ITC222A chassis. This is a common problem in this unit. The problem is usually centered around 4 capacitors (CP140, CP150, CP110, and CP114) They usually vent (becom bloated or puffy) and develop an internal short which causes the TV to shut down. This is usually caused by power surges (even when connected to a surge protector). The repair for this problem does not cost much, and I would suggest that you have a TV repair technician examine this TV due to the other problems that can happen with this chassis (ITC222A).
