Hi there--- I have a KIC fridge and the bulb blew. I bought a new one, but it is not screwing in easily and now is stuck! And lights obviously not working.. Any suggesstions would be appreciated.

There are a few different globes for fridges. If the wrong one has jammed in there, its probably not touching the terminals properly. Unplug the fridge (There are LIVE terminals in the globe socket) Use a towel or something in case the globe breaks and unscrew the globe. Take the old globe in to a lighting shop to get the correct globe.

The light in my Kelvinator fridge will no longer work, can it be fixed, globe has been replaced , also

Barbara: You can remove the globe and replace the light bulb with an appliance light bulb. If it still doesn't work, try wriggling the socket a little bit with the light bulb in place (so you don't get shocked). If it STILL does not work, yes, a socket can be replaced and rewiring can be done.

The light globe in my 140 litre 2door waeco fridge only lasts about 5 to 10 days before it blows again. The globes are 12 v 5 watt genuine waeco globes. How do I fix this?

It could be that the fridge's voltage regulator is putting out a higher voltage, but likely it is something else. Check that nothing is blocking the bulb and causing it to overheat internally limiting its operating life.

The lights don't work on my fridge.bulbs are good lights just don't come on

Most fridge/freezers today have ES [Edison Screw] globes inserted.
IF the globe is not tightened fully they sometimes don't make a good contact and will not function properly. Try taking out the globe and re-inserting it. Tighten them firmly into the socket BUT don't over-tighten or you can damage the [usually] plastic socket and/or break the globe.
ALSO possibly the door switches may be stuck. Check [usually at base of fridge housing] for their location and press them a few times to make sure they are operating correctly. IF they are stuck there will be no electrical circuit so they won't work.

Light bulb replacement lemair refrigerator RQ115M

Lemaire RD-280FFM.

Of course, turn the power off for you own safety.

You will probably need to take the top shelf out of your fridge to get to the light cover. Then you'll need a phillips head screwdriver to release the cover, and may even need to encourage the cover to come off with a flat head screwdriver.

Then it's just a matter of unscrewing the globe and replacing. Globe is an Edison screw globe. An E14 15W pilot globe will usually suffice.
