No Internet and possibly other drivers?

Hi, I just recently cleared my computer's hard drive and reinstalled windows. Now there are no Ethernet drivers installed on my computer. Not sure which drivers to download and what to do and the EPoX website seems to be down?

    Yeah... Doesn't really help... EPoX seems to have gone down, nothings downloading. And I have the non pro version anyway... I think.

    If I ever manage to make this work and burn it onto a CD what do I do then?

It depends how you "reinstall" windows. If you do a "reset" it keeps your programs and files, but if you format the hard drive, you lose everything that was on that drive. Everything, programs, pictures, documents, and videos. Apparently this is what your friend did, and once he installed Windows on the hard drive, the chance of you getting much of your stuff off the drive is extremely slim. You will need to reinstall all your programs. Vista has Service pack 1 and Service pack 2. Hopefully you can go somewhere and download these to a flash drive, bring it home and update. Usually after updates at least some of your drivers should be installed. If not, you will need to download them to your flash drive. It is easiest to install the lan (ethernet) driver first, then you can go online from home and download the rest. Microsoft would be my first choice for updates and drivers, the manufacturer second. Usually I go online and leave it for a few hours, or overnight. Updates will automatically download.

I cant get my gateway 7320gz computer to get on line after reinstalling installing windows xp on it to get the drivers...

Sounds like the drivers for the network card are not present...

Grab a flash drive and the model number of your PC. Go to another internet connected computer and download the ethernet (and wireless if that's what you need) drivers frome here to the flash drive. Go back to your PC and install from the flash drive.

I'v put XP on my pc and now I can't get my wireless broadband to work

Hi, this is a common problem when one wipe there hard drive and reinstall an operating system, go to your common manufacture's website and download the driver for your wireless device and Ethernet controller. Recommendation: when ever you wiping your hard drive, also make a backup of your drivers by downloading them before you wipe. I recently wipe my computer, and i make sure i had all the device drivers before i wipe. Smile!

PC no longer recognises LaCie drive

Hi Katya!
There are several possible causes for this. You didn't specify if you're running Windows or Mac so I apologize in advance if some of the information I provide does not apply.
  1. If you recently performed a Windows Update, there's a patch to fix your issue;
  2. There is a firmware upgrade for your external hard drive. It is located here:
  3. If the above solutions don't solve your problem, you may try uninstalling the device and reinstalling it. This should clear any communications errors it may have
I do hope I was able to solve your issue. I wish you the best of luck.

Ethernet not working after format and xp reinstall

Right-click the My Computer icon and select Manage, then go to the Device Manager in the list on the left and find the Network Adapter from the list on the right, right-click Network Adapter and select Uninstall. When you reboot, XP should find the Adapter and reinstall it automatically. Another reboot may be required.

If it still will not connect, go to the NIC Manufacturer's website and download the driver to removable media. The Driver Update option can be accessed in the Device Manager, but this time select Properties when you right-click the Network Adapter, and go to the Driver tab.
