I have a Olivetti Erc7900 & when I try to print a receipt its jamming.. what can I do to fix the problem?

Before you do anything rash check the ribbon color lever if it is in the white position the ribbon won't lift.

first check the software part if driver with paper cut is installed or else try olivetti service centre

first check your connectivity from printer to pc

Try without ribbon and L/O tape, check for bent or broken spokes on print wheel.

You haven't mentioned the journal roll, so I will assume it prints the journal but not the receipt. What happens if you press the post receipt button at the end of a sale. Does it print daily reports on both rolls? --------------------------------------------------------------------

Is it possible the margins are set closely together? There may be a carriage lock on the bottom l or r side of the carriage.

The type-bar basket is not returning to the rest position. The lift springs may be too weak (shorten them), something may have dropped inside the machine to jam the basket, or the up-stop for the basket may need adjusting.

Hi Try unplugging power supply for 1 minute. It should reset to default factory settings.
