Have you gone to Acer web page and see if they have exploded views of your laptop or at least remove and replace instructions.

I have replaced the Fan for IBM R61e but the laptop is not starting .There is nothing on the idsplay just couple of indicators .

Does it make any sound?
Does something show up on the screen?
Are you absolutely sure that the fan is OK and spinning after you start it up?
Did you plug everything correctly back? For example didn't you forget to connect back your power up button part of keyboard?

You can try to remove the keyboard and other unnecessary parts like CD-ROM. Try to start it without keyboard and the powerbutton board. But be aware this may damage your computer if you do it improperrly.

How do you replace the fan on a Fujitsu s2210 laptop?

How to Replace a Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 Fan
1. Follow your laptop owner's manual and assembly guide carefully as you disassemble the laptop. Touch something metal periodically to remove static charge, and work on a large table with a bright light source.
2. Turn off the laptop and unplug it. Remove the main battery, DVD drive , Ac adapter and the hard drive. The hard drive is usually located in a slot on one side of the laptop. Remove the screw that holds the cover in place, then pull out the hard drive, screen sled.
3. Turn the laptop over and remove the screws on the bottom that hold the keyboard in place. Flip the laptop over, open it, then lift the keyboard up and out. Unplug the flexible ribbon cable that connects the keyboard to the motherboard.
4. Remove the screws that hold the laptop keyboard bezel and palm rest in place. Carefully pry loose any plastic snaps on the sides, then lift the bezel and palm rest up and out.
5. Unplug the Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 CPU Cooling Fan. Remove the screws that hold the heat sink and fan in place, then remove the entire unit from the laptop. Remove any thermal compound residue from the bottom of the heat sink and the CPU.
6. Apply a thin layer of thermal compound on the CPU, then replace the heat sink and cpu cooling fan. Replace the screws, plug the Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 Fan back in, then reassemble the laptop.
7. Plug the laptop in and turn it on. After you use it for a few minutes, you should hear the new Fujitsu cpu cooling fan running and feel warm air blowing from the vent on the side of the laptop. A Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 Fan does not run continuously, so don't be concerned if the Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 Fan shuts off periodically.

My laptop makes a loud noise when connecting to the internet, like a plane reving up for take-off.

Hello.

The most likely problem is the cooling fan. Could be clogged or faulty.

First, disconnect all cables. Be certain to dispel static electricity by touching metal. Remove the back cover to expose the fan. With a can of compressed air, blow the dust from in and around the fan. Replace the cover and cables and try again.

If still a problem, the fan would likely need to be replaced.

Hope this helps.

My samsung R519 will not turn on. The battery is fine. However, when putting it on the on light goes on but the others dont. You can feel the fan begin but nothing? Any ideas?

If you feel that the fan does not move the all, that is the main cause of your problem. To reseat the fan, kindly turn off your laptop, remove cables & battery, press and hold power button for 8 secs, remove the screws at the back of the battery, remove the hard drive, remove the optical drive, and then reseat the fan. Then insert back the optical drive, hard drive, screws, cables and battery then turn on the laptop. IF it did not work, you need to call Samsung to replace your fan.

The fan of my celsius H230 cracked down. now i want to replace it but somehow i dont figure how to remove the stupid case? can anyone help me?

Its alittle tricky. Have you ever removed laptop cases before?

If you have not I dont recomend it unless you are confident to follow instructions and do not loose any part that you remove from the laptop

If you are confident in following instructions and do not loose parts while disassembling the unit proceed to #1

1) Remove all screw with a perscision screw driver (a very small philips head screw driver) from the bottom of the case.

2) Remove the ram door and all other doors from the bottom of the unit

3) LOOK CAREFULLY to see if removing the bottom exposes the fan.

4) if not go to the front of the unit and remove the keyboard CAREFULLY

5) the keyboard ususally is screwed down so try lifting pannels carefully to see if they come loose.

At this point you MUST BE VERY CAREFULL to open this case. ANY BRUTAL FORCE TO OPEN THE CASE CAN CRACK THE CASE.

6) once you remove the keyboard, you should see the fan.

7) the fan is usually plugged into the motherboard, disconnect the fan and unscrew it out of the motherboard.

Hopefully you have the new fan on you

8) replace the fan with your new one and after you replug it into where the old one was, put eveything back to gether again VERY VERY CAREFULL making sure you put back every part and screw to where they were originaly are

After everything is completed, test the new fan by turning the unit.

Your new fan should work well. If it does not, either the motherboard needs replacing or your new fan is defective

Hope this helps

Disassembly to replace fan

I know I am too late but I just changed the fan in my U205-S5002. I couldn't find instructions anywhere so I decided to give it a try. It is very easy.
First remove all the screws below the laptop. There is only one small cover below the laptop. Remove the cover and disconect the Hard Drive. Now remove the plastic strip right above the keyboard by using a flat small screwdriver. Do not be afraid, you'll not break it. After removing the strip you will see 2 S3 screws. Remove them and the keyboard will be free to move. In order to remove the keyboard you'll have to disconnect a couple of connectors, by lightly pulling first the plastic stoppers (colored brown) out. After you have removed the keyboard you will see the fan in the upper left corner. Remove the 2 screws holding the fan and disconnect the connector (pay attention to the way the plug or the female goes in: the holes are on top). Installing the new fan is a piece of cake and so is putting everything back.
I hope this helps.
