Re: Chrysler Pacifica Aftermarket Radio Problems

Here is the solution:

Their is a chrysler amplifier some where in your pacifica. In order for your signal to reach the speakers you need to buy a box (from bestbuy install ,or any car stereo install place)that allows the signal to "pass thru"to the speakers.

02 bonneville. Stock radio has power, but i install my pioneer and no power. I did use a wire harness.

With the stock radio installed, turn on your parking lights and listen for the chime (same sound for key in ignition with ignition off and door opened). Does the sound come from the front left speaker or from behind the dash? If it comes from behind the dash, disconnect factory stereo and turn lights on again, id the chime still there or does it go away? If the sound comes from the left front speaker or goes away when you unplug the factory stereo, you need a different harness, its called a chime harness Pac Audio part #C2R-GM32R, could be the thing you need.

What colour wires do i need to use to wire up rear speakers on a pioneer 2000mp headunit

should be listed on the unit itself, however if youre attempting an install there are vehicl specific plug-n-play kits available that cure these headaches with out breaking the bank, and they can be found starting around 10.00 and you dont need to hack up your factory harness to install after market equiptment

Pioneer dehp3100ub.stock speakers wont work with unit?

If the vehicle has a premium sound package - you need to use the remote wire to turn on the factiry amplifier.
If you want to use the power from the radio for the speakers, you must buy and install a factory amplifier bypass harness.

Not satisfy with the sound of my system

This Unit has got a 4x60w amp built in.

On it's own the subwoofer will not work, you need to buy a Monoblock amplifier, a wiring kit and a set of RCA leads to run it.

The RCA leads plug into the SUB output RCA sockets on the back of the headunit.

The OEM speakers in your car will not be of great quality, so it would be wise to change them. If you do, you need to buy speakers that have a rating of no less than 90watts, any thing less and they will sound distorted.

Any car audio shop will be able to help you select the right size and rating to suit your car. They may even fit it all for a charge.

Hope this helps

No sound

Check your remote turn-on lead connection - you may have a factory amplified system which isn't getting turned on, which would explain the no sound.
