SOURCE: coffee is really bitter and doens't taste good
hmm well it wouldn't surprise me. I'm glad you were able to get to the bottom of it! ;) have a great day and enjoy your Keurig!
SOURCE: my coffee tastes bitter and water is not hot
The problem is that there is old coffee oil sediment in the black parts on the machine door. Every time you make coffee, no matter how well you clean the guts of the machine, this coating remains forever. If your really handy, you need to remove these parts very carefully. Take it apart! Don't drop the spring!!!. I soak these in a good cleaning solution and scrub them. Do a good job. I use little tooth brushes and other stuff. It not a difficult task. But go slowly. I photograph before starting so I know how it all goes back.
This is the only way to get the really burnt taste out. Lots of luck.
Also descale too.

God bless you
There are several factors resulting in a bitterer cup of
coffee:
•
The bean - Robusta beans are more bitter than
Arabica
•
Roasting - darker roasts are generally more
bitter
• Brewing method - espresso tends to taste more bitter
Bitterness is a dominant quality in the overall taste of coffee. You need a certain amount of bitterness to balance out the flavor. There are two types of chemicals that give coffee most of its bitter taste - both are antioxidants.
