First off how long have you owned the tv? These TV's only come with a one year warranty. Does the on screen menu come up at all? Its possible its the pixel driver. Though I would need more information. What I can tell you is that plasma tv's are much more expensive to repair then LCD. So you may want to consider purchasing a new LCD replacement. You can get a new one anywhere from 700-1000$ Where as if you pay even half that for a repair on your current tv and something breaks in a few months you will still be stuck with used/old tv. A new one comes with a new warranty and new parts. If you still have questions or need further assistance please let me know.
Thank you,
Lee

I was trying to connect my ps2 with Panasonic vieara tv but picther is in black and white and no sound

A black and white picture suggests you are trying to use a composite video input but the TV may be NTSC format while your game is PAL, or the other way round. Use a game with the correct format or use the separate RED, GREEN & BLUE inputs (may require a different type of lead).

First you need a component cable to solve your problem.Since you have not mentioned what device you are connecting to your TV, I''ll assume its a DVD player or a settop box. There is a Red and White audio sockets + Red / Green / Blue component video socket. Just make sure you connect the corresponding two sets of jacks at both end of your TV & DVD player and everything will work. bobhifi_21.jpg

I'M TRYING TO HOOK UP MY INSIGNIA 42'' 1080P FLAT-PANEL LCD HDTV TO OUR DVD PLAYER USING THE COMPONENTS (RED, BLUE, GREEN, RED & WHITE CABLES) PROVIDED AND THE PICTURE IS IN BLACK & WHITE....

The three picture cords (red/blue/green) often are a little larger around than the sound cords (red/white). If they are they same size, they are often grouped separate by picture and sound. Double check to verify if you have the "red" cords correct. Good luck.

Dynex dx-32l151a11 the picture is black and white with the dvd player

With a Black and White picture it sounds like you're trying to connect the DVD Player's "Composite" connection to the TV's Component Connection.

Composite is a 3 wire system with Yellow for the video, and red and white for the audio. On your TV this connection is located on the side.

Component is a 5 wire system, with Blue, Green & Red for Video, and Red and White for audio. On your TV this connection type is located on the rear panel.

Check to make sure you are hooking the DVD player & the TV to the same input types.

Hi,it definetely sounds like the color wheel. The color wheel is a rotating disc that has a gamma of colors it spins at high rpms. The light of the lamp goes through it to create the colors on your tv.When it starts to go bad you will get color distortion ,black and white picture and sometimes you will hear humming noises.Found your color wheel here: http://www.discount-merchant.com/MITSUBISHI-00-L3603-002-p/1162430.htm Have a bless one!

Make sure if your using the video input jacks, that the yellow is plugged into Video 1 and the same with the audio.Red & White. If your using Component, they are color coded- Red Blue & Green along with the Audio In -Red & White. It sounds like you have the video in the wrong jack.
