SOURCE: I won a judgment in Magistrate Court Cherokee CO

A pending appeal might make the judgment unenforceable. If they have a lawyer and you don't then you might be seriously outgunned.

How can you make a success out of divorce?

No one wants to go through a divorce. However, in many cases, it's the best option for all involved. Maybe you and your partner aren't happy together and would rather separate, move on, and live your best lives. This is entirely possible and, in my experience, it's actually what ends up happening in the majority of cases. The main thing you need to achieve a successful divorce is empathy, honesty, and compassion.

Don't try to take more than you deserve. For instance, if children are involved, then you need to be reasonable and accept that you can't see them all the time. They'll need to split their time between each parent. In order to protect your interests, you definitely need to go and hire a family law attorney. Lawyers exist to ensure all processes are properly followed and that everyone's rights are protected so as to ensure a fair and successful divorce.

Need information about child support lien

best advice is to consult with a lawyer in this matter
having said that, I feel sure that any property in your now wife's name is considered her property by law and would not be subject to a lien from a 3rd party and would only attract interest if you were to divorce your current partner and obtained 1/2 the property in settlement in which case your 1/2 could be considered subject to action
If it comes to pass that your suggest course of action is necessary, would you consider a legal separation with an agreement which your present wife agrees to support you for as long as
That way you are still together as man and wife , with you as a boarder and her property totally set apart from any action against you
As I said in the start , talk to a lawyer to get the best advice available

Children and Separation

strange question, but in this country possetion is 9 tenths of the law, unless you have a court order against you regarding the kids then the law expects you to come to an agreement between yourselves, so they don't have to live with her if they don't want to

hope this helps
