My GE dryer DDE7200RALWH. Just quit working after 20 seconds. I double check to make sure the door was closed the settings were correct yet that was not the problem. I did smell as if something had been burning. Now mind you the dryer this was me initially turning it on after it had not run for several days so this would not be a buildup of lint not to mention my meant hoses everything like that are all new. I would so appreciate any help I'm a woman but I am learning to be self-sufficient I cannot afford to hire somebody so if someone could please please help me I would much appreciate it thank you so much.

okay I took the back panel off the dryer where the wires are... that's where the burnt smell is coming from... I discovered there is so much condensation there... I did notice the last time the dryer ran well, a lot of condensation in the inside of the door... my thinking is maybe the water has burned out the wires I let everything dry for a few days and also made certain my outside vents everything were attached and secure I did need to take care of that. But I think now the damage is to the wiring. So what do I do to repair this and what parts do I need to order. Thank you so much for helping me oh by the way I also vacuumed out the inside of the dryer vent everything and my dryer vent hoses they're all brand new. So now I believe it is just that wiring that's behind the square metal plate. Thank you in advance

First clean you wire mesh lint filter with dishwasher soap and hot water. This will remove the invisible film deposited by your Fabric Shoftener Sheets This will allow air to escape your dryer and prevent moisture build up in your dryer. Frequently do this cleaning methode every time you check your lint filter. As far as the wiring is another thing the lint build up and moisture may have caused a short circuit.UNPLUG dryer Remove the lint around the wiring and get back to me

You may encounter an overheating situation . One thing that may cause the problem...LINT... your wire mesh air filter you should be cleaned frequently. First remove your filter and clean it with dishwasher soap and hot water...this will remove the invisible film deposit by the Fabric Softener Sheet also called Feecy sheet and this will allow air to freely escape thru the filter . Make sure your exhaus hose is free from lint and also the escape channel scoop where your air filter is located. Now we have cleared one situation. The overheating is protection is controlled by a thermal switch located on the top of the door, you may gain access to it by removing the top panel with a kitchen knife depressing the panel holding clips.
Hope this was helpful.

SOURCE: LG Gas dryer doesn't dry clothes in one cycle

Have you checked your outside vent while it was running to see if the dryer was venting 100%. If your clothes are hot and humid I would say clean your vent pipe has a blockage and needs to be cleaned out. Also as far as the burning smell you could take the front off (unplug first) the dryer of by removing 4 screws one above and one below the latch and two at the bottom and there are two clips one at the top left and right push in with a puddy knife and lift the top up a couple inches and lift the front up off the bottom holders. Then you will have access to vacuuming the lint that is floating around the burner.

My GE dryer model DBXR463EBOCC was working perfectly. I opened the door to get something out and it stopped. Now, nothing. I checked the plug, GFI, and breaker, so that's not the problem.

Yes. It not working correctly, a G7 plug might solve it. If not then use a G9. I know double the cost but G9 should fix it for sure.

Hi, my problem is with my GE advantium speedcook microwave oven. When using 'speedcook' feature, the oven starts, then there is sparking inside the circuit board area, followed by a loud POP, and this...

  • Select the "Options" menu and adjust the clock display settings if the display is blank. Set the clock if the oven won't start. The clock must be set for the oven to work properly, as oven programming is dependent on the clock.
  • Close the door tightly if the oven won't start. The oven won't start if the door isn't closed. You can identify from the lights whether the oven failing to start is related to the door or to the power supply. If the control panel is illuminated and interior lights are on when you open the oven door, you can be sure the oven is receiving power and any starting problems are due to the door not being closed tightly.
  • Press and hold the "Clear/Off" button if the oven performs strangely. Be sure to hold it for a few seconds. This will reset the GE Advantium.
But as you mentioned that there is /was a loud noise this is a indication of the unit make any usual noise (groaning, gurgling, etc.?) or was / is it either louder or quieter than normal? It may be as simple as the top door switch or its mount or it may be a bad magnetron or shorted diode.

Relaced thermostat and therma fuse, now dryer is tooo hot

Sound like the thermostat is not working bud first check and double check the thermostat is connected properly and the wires are on correctly (not mixed up)and check the stat probe or bulb is in the correct place to pick up heat(assumeing that the stat is not a energy switch wich has no bulb)If you are not sure where the wires go there should be a diagram on the inside of the back panel or go on line to the manufacturer site and get one from them,

Hope this is of some assistance
