I searched online and some said that it's the thermocouple. That I
should clean it and if that does not work then I should replace it. I cleaned the thermocouple and the problem is still there. I don't know anything about the convection ovens and where the parts are. You
said that it might be the thermostat. Are there any test that I can do that will verify what the problems are. I might replace the thermostat or the thermocouple and those might not be the problem. It might also take some time for me to get those parts. The imperial convection oven that i have is a propane double deck. The bottom deck works fine but the top is the one that I'm having problems with.

i don't know if my message went through but is there a way to find out what the problem is. what happens if i change the thermostat and find out that it's the thermocouple or vice versa . it might take a while for me to look for the parts and then wait for it. i turned the oven on and the thermometer reads 350F and the thermostat knob is on 500F.

The oven thermostat isn't working anymore most likely and needs to be replaced. You should be able to get a new one from the manufacturer. If that wouldn't fix it, then the control board is bad but usually the thermostat is it and is the cheapest thing to replace. You should be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer. Let me know how this turns out.

The thermocouple is the thermostat that I was referring to (They are the same thing), they are called differently by different companies. Replacing it should fix the problem.

As I said before, they are the same parts, I just called it by a different name. Just replace it, it is the problem with the symptoms you have most likely. Most places will let you return the part if it would happen to not fix the problem

Pilot light issue

you cannot light the pilot on that oven manually. that oven is eletronic ignition. take off the panel under the doors, turn on the oven, and turn the thermostat to 350.
if you see sparking on both the right and left burners, you and it doesnt light, you need to see if the gas solenoid on the right side of the burner is getting power. if it is and nothing lit relace it.
if it is not, replace the ignition board

My oven won't heat up properly

wire brush the oven pilot light orifix flame may be lessened due to carbon buildup then when oven lights its convextion pulls the pilot flame away from thermal coupling with shuts off gas (in case wind blows it out, it will STOP the GAS FLOWING. if the pilot full size (near 3/4 inch tall) then just try to position the thermal coupling nearer the flame (not right on it)

Pilot light still going out

If this oven has a "stack" (where the hot gases & heat vent to your hood) air could be blowing down the stack affecting the pilot. Simple test, Bic lighter lit at the top of the stack in the middle of the opening. If the flame is being sucked down the stack, then you have air blowing the pilot out. How old is the thermocouple on this unit ? Pilot flame heats this up to send a signal to your main gas valve to open up so the burners light. A weak t-couple could be your problem. Hope this helps

My covection oven does not heat up once food is put in

on the gas valve there is an adj. for the pilot size, maybe too small , would try increasing the pilot and see what happens.also the thermocouple might be on the way out ,you might want to replace that and try oper. go with thermocouple first, then try pilot size dont forget to vote tks. monomoy

does it light then immediately go out? if yes, usually you have to hold in a button to allow gas to flow while you light the pilot, and hold this button until the therm0-couple is heated with the pilot flame. If the thermo-couple is not sufficiently heated and you let go of this button, the pilot light will go out as the safety circuit thinks there's no flame and unburned gas is entering the oven.

The other thing you could do is adjust the height of the pilot flame... there's usually an adjustment screw near the button described above which will allow you to adjust the height of the flame. Make the flame just big enough to guarantee that it keeps the thermo-couple hot AND that it can light the oven without being blown out.

Good luck.

OVEN will not heat

KitchenAid KEBC107KSS does not heat hot enough and does not heat evenly. When the temperature is dialed higher, it burns the cookies. When the convection fan is on, it has a 'cooling effect' so the temperature never reaches the proper level. Is this problem repairable? Or is this a thermostat issue? Thank you for your help!

Dacor Oven - convection fan stays on while on "bake" setting

Question: does the unit appear to hold the correct temperature? Most convection units only turn the heating elements on and off...not the fan. If the unit is reporting operating temp and then taking other direction...and it is cooking right...you're done.
