YOU ARE SAYING THE MOTOR DOES NOT SPIN. TRY TO SPIN THE DRIVE SHAFT ON TOP OF MOTOR . DOES THE SHAFT TURN EASY. IF NO THEN YOU HAVE A MOTOR OR LUBRICATION.
PROBLEM.
DOES THE SCAN SWITCH, WHEN PUSHED TO SCAN DOES IT SCAN. IF IT SCANS BACK, AND FORTH 2 TIMES, YOU THEN HAVE A COIN CREDIT PROBLEM (MOST LIKELY )

SOURCE: my rowe ami cd100 plays but there is no bass only

Hi Tony,

More than likely it will be an amplifier problem, but check that the phono leads from the mechanism decoder are ok and that there are not any dry joints (cold joints in the USA) on the phono connections on the decoder.

Check that the amplifier does not have any dry joints on the connections between the input and output stages on the amplifier.

If you are in the USA and need a repair send your amplifier to Bruce Wentworth (check for his details on Google) in the uk you could send me your amp for repair.

I have a 1977 Ami juke box that will play a record put it back & play about 6times why is that

if your saying that it plays the same selection six times and goes thru all the motions of putting it back all six times ok , this is for sure sounds as a jumper switch set up error on the main control , as six is the exact number of maximum plays you can get it to "remember" for a given amount of coin in

First of all it does not have a tone arm. it is not a record player. it has a laser pickup and it is not supposed to touch the cd.
