From what you said I take it that you have dual controls? Or do you have a single control for both sides? Anyway, the Sunbeam people are not very helpful. First - Unplug your blanket from the wall outlet. 2. Look at your plug-in into your blanket. Make sure you have not reversed the plug. 3. Look for recessed pins. If you find one recessed, use a pair of needle-nose pliers and carefully pull out the recessed pin until it is even in length with the other pins. Reinsert your plug then plug the unit back in. If the error still occurs, you probably have a broken heater wire inside the blanket. I know the Biltmore blankets are spendy.

My best guess is maybe... If its the model where the controller can be unplugged from the blanket then i would try and get a new controller for it, if its the cheaper model they sell that the controller is permanently on a cord from the blanket then most likely not. The other problem is generally they shut off when there is an issue, it could be a broken connection or broken heating element in the blanket itself and its shutting back off due to the fault. So best suggestion i can make, see if you can find a replacement controller or contact their customer support about getting a replacement, if the controller costs almost as much as a new blanket then just get a new blanket. I know how nice an electric blanket is!!

The thermostat could be sticking or may have had something spilled on it, you could try checking the connection where it plugs into the blanket. An option is to buy a inline 120V thermostat on Ebay and use that.

BTW have you checked that it's not the blanket? Swap the controls over, if the problem follows the control it's the control. If the problem stays on the same side of the blanket, it's the blanket.
