I have a Scotts Speedy Green 2000 spreader, and the product I have gives directions for the following: Scotts Basic; Standard; Accugreen 2000 and Accugreen 3000. Which direction should I follow?

Speedy Green setting is about 1 number greater than the Scotts Standard number. So, if for the standard it calls for a setting of 4.5, the speedy green should be 5.5 to 5.75.

What setting should I use on Scott speedy green broadcast spreader for 8 lbs /1000 square feet

Hi Jack:
Depends on the size of the granules in the product that you are using. There should be a table on the package.
Here's the link to one of the Scott information pages

Need a setting for Scott's Speedy Green EdgeGuard mini

First, I went to the products website, in this case Lesco and looked up the spreader settings:
https://www.johndeerelandscapes.com/home/spreader-settings.aspx

Then, I went to Scotts website and looked up spreader settings:
http://www.scotts.com/smg/node2/SCOTTSCOM/lawn-care/lookup-spreader-settings/7800015-24900013-s

I cross referenced a product on the Scotts website that uses the same settings as one of those listed on the Lesco website and I found my settings that way.

In my case I was using Lesco Pre-M 0.86% 0-0-7 and wanted to apply 5.3 lbs/1000ft. My spreader was a Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard Mini with settings from 0-15. I found out by cross referencing that the Scotts Speedy Green 1000 and my spreader used the same settings. So I ended up using the recommended setting of 5.5, as listed on the Lesco website for the Scotts Speedy Green 1000, to apply 5.3 lbs/1000ft of pre emergent using my Scotts EdgeGuard Mini.

Hope this helps!

I have a speedy green 2000 broadcast spreader and need to know what setting I need to use to spread 40 lbs per 2000 sq ft dolomite peletized lime? Thanks.

first 40lbs per 2k of lime will do nothing, rate to chemnge ph 1 point is 50lbs per 500k which would be all the way open slow walk. for your application you should be about half to 3/4 open normal walk

How do i calibrate my scotts speedy green 3000 broadcast spreader?

From the OEM Scotts SpeedyGreen 3000 Broadcast Spreader Owners Manual: Calibration Your SpeedyGreen 3000 spreader was calibrated at the factory. You may check the calibration as follows: 1.) Adjust the micrometer setting to 2. 2.) Squeeze the trigger against the handle. 3.) The Calibration line engraved in the Green casing above the top of the shut-off plate should be flush with the back edge of the hopper opening. 4.) To adjust alignment, use a small wrench to turn the black calibration screw at the lower end of the control wire leading from the micrometer rate setting barrel.
