My 32' LG LED TV has suddenly lost picture! The sound is all right but the Screen is pitch black. After switching it on the picture flashes for a second and then the screen goes completely black.

Sounds like a backlight problem or a problem with the video driver circuit. Sorry Helen, this is a solid state set and has no user replaceable parts inside of it.. Take it into be serviced by a pro.
