It is heating, though. I bought a new belt, but don't know how to open the dryer. It has the lint screen on the top and i took out the two screws but i still can't get it to open.
Between the top panel and the front panel, on the left and right sides, there is a spring clip that needs to be pushed inward (a stiff butter knife or putty knife works well for this) so that the top panel can be flipped up.
Inside on the left and right side, you should find a 5/16 hex screw holding the front panel on. Then you need to disconnect the door light, and you can remove the front panel.
Check and make sure that the belt idler pulley (located right in front of the motor) is still situated so that it applies pressure to the belt.
After removing the 2 screws from the lint catcher use a flat blade screwdriver to pry open the top lid. Insert the screwdriver under the lid at the right and left front corners and pry up. Be careful not to chip the paint. With the lid up, remove 2 screws on the inside right and left of the front panel. Disconnect the door switch wires. Pull up and out on the front panel. Replace your belt then re-attach all parts.

I have a dryer that takes three cycles to dry the clothes. The dryer gets hot and it vents very well. There is warm steamy air being pushed out the vent. I've washed the lint trap with soapy water. I can't figure this out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
